The UV500 isn't the fastest or cheapest drive around but will last a long time thanks to tried and tested technology. It's also well suited to anyone needing to comply with data protection laws. This SSD, available in a range of capacities, will be a reliable workhorse if that's what you need.

Cracking little drive, thrown into an intel NUC and doing a great job.

I used this Kingston UV500 mSATA drive in an IDE converter case (same footprint as a 2.5" laptop drive) in an old Dell laptop. Well what amazing performance boost for a 2004 laptop! Even was able to install Windows 10 no proiblem!!! It is actually, to my surprise quite usable for word processing, web browsing, social media, etc. I'm a restoration freak.

This product was easy to install and has been working perfectly in a basic Windows + Office laptop (with a little hashcat on the side) for a month or so. Replaced an aging HDD, startup time to being usable is like a tenth of what it was. Chose this over a pre-loved card (same price, twice the capacity) because of the warranty, price feels about fair - not a bargain, but not over the odds.

I bought this mSATA storage to replace an older drive in a laptop. Performs very well. A great buy!
