Amazon has just released its third-gen Kindle Paperwhite e-reader, and while it doesn't offer a substantial upgrade over the previous model, it does iterate on what was already a fantastic device.

My new paperwhite is awesome! It's my third kindle. I had one of the earlier models, then a Fire and now the paperwhite. It is lighter weight, making it easier to hold while reading. It is also much better to read in different lighting, whether in the dark or bright sunlight.

The eReader market might lack much of the glitz and glamour associated with the smartphone space, but it's following in its footsteps, with HD displays making their way onto the latest paperback replacements.

This is my first kindle and I love it. So easy to read the backlite screen in all situations and small and light to handle.

Portable and long battery life. Slow response when scrolling down/up, opening books and zooming in/out, small memory space. Overall, good product and does what its supposed to do.
