Amazon Kindle Touch review

After a long and unexplained delay the Kindle Touch is finally available on British shores, over six months after its US launch. While the current slimline Amazon Kindle stripped out all the less-used features from the now clunky-looking keyboard version; the new Kindle Touch brings back the vast...

Amazon Kindle PaperWhite 2013

Look, it is pretty much a no-content when it comes to the e-book readers. Amazon won that debate, long back... Fair and square. Like the Apple iPod was THE mp3 player and Xerox made THE photocopier (no matter how hard the likes of Barnes and Noble, Kobo and Sony tried with their e-book readers) it...

Pages turn and refresh faster; Much improved display; Battery life remains amazing

Design hasn't been freshened up; No wall-charger in the box; still

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite review

Ian: I'm extremely happy with my Paperwhite. They're not yet available outside the US or European market yet and I'm so happy that Julie helped me to get hold of one. No the Kindle screen isn't "paper white" all the time, it's only achievable under specific built in and ambient light conditions.

Light weight; Screen is bright and crisp in any lighting situation (though you may have to play with the built in light's settings; No need for additional lights or covers for reading at night; Adding a smart cover gives you instant access to where you left of (no SO version; No more spooky dead...

Portable and long battery life. Slow response when scrolling down/up, opening books and zooming in/out, small memory space. Overall, good product and does what its supposed to do.

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite 3G

THE KINDLE PAPERWHITE is Amazon's first touchscreen model with an illuminated screen. It supersedes the Kindle Touch model that came out in the UK in April, which is no longer on sale.

Built-in light; e-ink touchscreen; battery life

Unintuitive interface; tied into Amazon books ecosystem; expensive for 3G; Nothing

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (2013)

The 6th generation Kindle Paperwhite is the best Kindle yet, it's the most cost effective ereader on the market and it easily beats the Nook Glowlight and Kobo Aura HD on performance and design.

A Can't Do Without Device

Yes the NEW Kindle Paperwhite is the best thing since sliced bread. This is a replacement, the battery in my original wouldn't charge after some 16 months, John Lewis changed it with no quibble. This new Kindle is superb, it, and it's predecessors have been part of my life for about 12 years.

Easy to use

I am so pleased with this product. It is light in weight and fits easily in my bag. Very easy to use. Great for reading in bed and doesn't disturb my sleeping husband. Looking forward to trying it out in bright sunlight come the summer!

An excellent read

I'd been toying with the idea of a Kindle for sometime.... I love the feel of a traditional book but not always practical to carry around. After weighing up whether to go for the standard or the Paperwhite, I went for the Paperwhite and I'm glad I did!
