I checked with repair shops and spares places before buying this, regarding reliability. Kelvinator are the same company as Electrolux, so I was doubly confidant. Time will tell. My only worry is that the filter flap on the inside console, has quite cheap 'hinges'. My old Panasonic had them too, and while I was cleaning it, it fell and broke a hinge. Unit was 10 years old, couldn't be repaired, and no replacement available, so I used invisible adhesive tape to keep it up there. There ARE stronger hinge systems out there than on this model... However, I am now very careful cleaning, so it shouldn't be a problem. Thumbs up!

Efficient cooling in recent 40 degrees plus over a prolonged period. Is quiet in operation. Especially like the low noise fan setting which is great for sleeping. The wireless app works great in home from my phone, but haven't got it to connect away from home. Appreciate the 5 year warranty if installation by qualified installer, buyers should get compliance certificate off installer for peace of mind. Installer recommended Kelvinator as best of affordable split systems, saying as reliable as more expensive just lacking a few bells and whistles and not quite as energy efficient, ( but added we'd hardly notice the difference if operated on auto fan and temp set between 24 and 27 in summer, and 20 to 24 in winter.) For five stars would like Google Assistant to make it a smart appliance, and an economy setting - or guidance in documentation as to what is most energy efficient settings.

I got this installed just after the last 42 degree day, I replaced an old cheap model. It’s fantastic, quiet and efficient and cools a large area efficiently. Easy to use and is very trendy looking. Very happy with my purchase!

My aircon died on the night of a 45 degree sydney day. Updated to the kelvinator and very happy.

Not happy with the split system is not good wouldn’t bye another one
