Jaybird Vista review: True wireless headphones worth checking out

Jaybird got off to a bumpy start in the world of true wireless -- that's "AirPods-style headphones" -- when it released its Run headphones back in October 2017. That model, updated to the Run XT in 2019, was well designed but had some small performance issues that held it back from being great. But its successor, the Jaybird Vista (cue the Windows Vista jokes), includes design and performance improvements that make it the product I'd hoped the Run would be.

The Jaybird Vista is a nice, comfortable upgrade over the company's earlier models. But it's a tad too expensive in a true wireless headphone market where prices continue to drop.

The Jaybird Vista buds fit securely; They're lightweight, comfortable and sound quite good; They're fully waterproof and come with a USB-C compact charging case; Battery life is decent at six hours, with 10 additional hours from the case.

A little pricey; There's no transparency mode to allow ambient sound in.

Awesome!

Bought a few weeks back, have had no troubles using them. The sound quality is amazing and the fit is super snug having come out with any of the various physical activity I do. I will say my ears are quite big and I wear the size two so anyone with tiny ears might struggle to fit the size one into their ear properly

Jaybird Vista review: See how they fly

If you’re after a set of fitness-friendly true wireless earbuds and aren’t into the price demanded by the Beats PowerBeats Pro, the Jaybird Vista are more than just an adequate substitute for the meanwhile. They’re an alternative that’s almost sure to delight, not to mention an enormous improvement over Jaybird’s previous efforts.

I don’t know if I can quite recommend them without caveat but I can certainly recommend them with a lot more enthusiasm than previous Jaybird earbuds.

Charming design; Improved battery life and fit;

Uncomfortable physical controls; Mediocre microphone quality;

Love the Jaybird Vista

These earbuds are simply phenomenal. Once in, they stay put and the sound is awesome. They are waterproof & sweat proof and are configurable via phone app, which is a great feature.

Sound quality, eq adjustments via phone ; Long duration of charge

Phone conversation a tad arduous

Jaybird Vista true wireless earbuds review: Ready to tweak

Jaybird has been here before. Having tried twice to strike gold with its Run and Run XT true wireless earbuds, the company is hoping third time's a charm with the new Vista . Changing the moniker is one thing, but being relevant in an increasingly crowded cord-free space meant going back to the...

Small and comfortable; Sweat and water-resistance; Good sound quality; Great app support; Case is the right size

Sync issues with video; Battery life is OK at best; Pricey compared to competitors

Jaybird Vista review: Affordable workout king

The Jaybird Vista is a great pair of running earphones, offering that value-for-money appeal that's synonymous with the brand. These buds stay in your ears, deliver good sound, and will get you through your sweatiest workouts while delivering a punchy soundtrack.

Serious stay-in ability during workouts; Neatly designed charging case; Durable; Decent and punchy sound

Sometimes get that pressured in-ear feeling; Only a single button on the outside of each bud; Remote volume control is a pain

Awesome Headphones

I love these little ear bud headphones. They are very comfy in the ear and stay put while running. The quality of the sound is superb and they really are sweat proof. They seem to hold their charges for ever. Very sleek lovely little storage/charging case. Value for money in my opinion.

Jaybird Vista true wireless earbuds are perfect for outdoorsy fitness buffs

Jaybird is a known quantity in the athletic earbud space: all of its products sound good and fit great. That continues to be true of the company's latest offering, the Vista true wireless earbuds.

Fit Very secure and comfortable; Water resistance IPX7 rating is reassuring when you're working out in the rain; Easy pairing Just press the button in the case and you're off and running

Controls Limiting and finicky; Price $180 is steep unless you need everything the Vista offer
