JBL Go 2

JBL sells a wide range of wireless Bluetooth speakers and its Go line, now on the second generation Go 2, is the smallest and least expensive of the bunch. Truth be told, the original JBL Go speaker looked and felt a little like a toy speaker, weighing in at a mere 130 grams.

The JBL Go 2 is a very small wireless speaker that fits in a pocket and sounds decent enough for its tiny size; Its design and sound have improved from the original and it's now fully waterproof; Plus, it has speakerphone capabilities

It doesn't have all that much bass and its battery life isn't great at 5 hours

JBL Soundgear

The JBL Soundgear doesn't look like anything that's come before it. It's what you'd get if you crossed a portable Bluetooth speaker with a wearable. In fact it kind of feels like someone at JBL HQ said, "I hear wearables are in now, lets bung some speakers into a wearable.

Decent sound quality; Well built; Relatively light

Uncomfortable; Weak battery life; Too much noise bleed; Not cheap

JBL Go 2

Probably the most impressive aspect of the Go 2's performance is its ability to pump out volume. No, it's not loud like a larger speaker with multiple drivers would be, but it'll blow away the built-in speakers on nearly any laptop or tablet. In other words, for what it is, it does its job well.

Solid audio performance for the size; Waterproof; Affordable

Light on accessories; Can distort on deep bass tracks at high volumes

JBL Go 2 Review

JBL's contributions to the realm of tiny, inexpensive, portable wireless speakers have helped elevate the category from "why bother" status to "worthwhile improvement over your phone." We've enjoyed the various iterations of the the JBL Clip series, and now we're checking out the even more affordable, even smaller JBL Go 2 ($39.95). Those seeking booming bass need to adjust their expectations and spend more money on something larger, but for its size, the Go 2 pumps out some impressive volume with a full, rich sound. It's a definite improvement over any laptop, tablet, or phone speaker, and the price is certainly right. Design Measuring 2.8 by 1.3 by 3.4 inches (HWD) and weighing in at 6.5 ounces, the Go 2 is available in a wide spectrum of 12 colors. The hues are less ROYGBIV and more muted tones, like coral orange, champagne, and cyan, though there's still a standard black, blue, and red. The front face of the speaker is all grille, which is dominated by a JBL logo. An IPX7 rati...

The JBL Go 2 is an affordable waterproof speaker that offers solid volume levels and a full sound signature for its size.

JBL GO 2 Wireless Speaker [Review]

Back at CES we got to see JBL's portfolio of portable speakers ranging from upgrades to their Clip series to the next iteration of the "Go". Go is a slightly different take on their Clip coming in a slightly different form factor and different setup of buttons.

Fabulous Speaker

Brought this so I could take my music out in the garden and bluetooth from my phone. I love this. Music sounds great, just as if it would from larger speakers. Such power in such a small speaker.

What a bass wow

I have this small bluetooth speaker pass week and this is perfect for outdoor activity like going to beach. Its waterproof and has a small footprint so you can carry it to anywhere I wish they made the battery life little longer but for the size this is great

Choosing a wireless speaker can be a daunting task, particularly if you don't have a big budget. The sheer volume of options available can make this a much harder task than it needs to be, but there tends to be one option that stands out for a lot of buyers.
