Intel Core i5-12600K Review

Excellent gaming performance ; Huge improvements to multi-core performance ; Future-proofed with PCIe 5.0 and DDR5; Great power efficiency ;

Teething issues for game compatibility; Requirement of Z690 motherboard drives up cost;

Good value CPU

It's fast and runs cool with the right cooler. Note, along with a z690 mother board, you need an aftermarket LGA 1700 compatible cooler for the CPU (it doesn't come bundled with one) and PB Tech wasn't stocking any at time of review. Would buy again.

Great bang for buck CPU

This CPU was an upgrade for me over a 9600k. Went from 6/6 to 10/16 and definitely notice the difference for less the price.

SPECS VS PRICE , THE 12600K IS IDEAL.

It's running very cool with a nh -15s strapped to it @ 24c .at idle . I would class this cpu as an entry-level cpu , good for most things , if you require more grunt the i7 and the i9 are for you ,

Intel Core i5-12600K review: The new mainstream CPU champ crushes Ryzen

Intel’s 12th-gen Core i5-12600K offers stunning performance over its AMD Ryzen rival—and offers consumers unheard-of value too.

Stupidly good multi-core performance; Really good single-core performance; Value that breaks new ground;

DDR5 option drives up pricing; Prices likely to be initially high; If you just game, who cares what CPU you have?;

Intel Core i5-12600K review: The new mainstream CPU champ crushes Ryzen

If there was ever a CPU designed solely for revenge, Intel’s 12th-gen “Alder Lake” Core i5-12600K would be it.
