Huawei Y6s is a low-end device targeted at folks on budget. The device brings two major upgrades to the older Y6 2019 ; it comes with better octa-core CPU, and a more spacious storage capacity and RAM.
While the Huawei Y6s won’t reinvent the wheel in the entry-level smartphone market, it still delivers a decent showing while not costing too much. Pretty much everything with the Y6s is a standard experience.
Very happy with this phone, plenty of ram and storage, good battery life and the screen size isn't too big. The plastic back feels a little cheap compared to better models with glass but when put in a phone case, this doesn't matter. Great phone for a low price
Huawei has visibly tried to get something out of the limited possibilities for the Y6s: there is finally a fingerprint sensor and quite a bit of memory, plus a dedicated microSD slot and a decent speaker. The camera still takes good pictures and the device always stays cool.
decent main camera; Fingerprint sensor; good memory; good speaker
little power; Blue cast in the display; low battery capacity
The choice of a low-end phone around 200 bucks is always a choice of reason. The Huawei Y6s is a good choice if you are looking for these three main elements:
Excellent handling; A battery that really lasts; Good value for money; Top wallpapers
Poor sound; An exasperating unlock button; Limited performance; Awkward fingerprint sensor
Huawei’s entry-level Y6s offers an attractive design, a decent display, an adequate audio quality, and a chipset that’s capable of light to moderate tasks. The selfie shooter might be slightly disappointing, but the rear camera makes up for it.
Good display; Appealing overall design; Biometrics response; Rear camera photo quality; Decent audio quality
When we talk about budget smartphones, we tend to think of the £200 to £250 mark. The Huawei Y6s is an example of what can be done when you go even lower-cost -- to £110 (inc. VAT) . Plenty of corners must be cut to get down to this price, but the Huawei Y6s is still a serviceable handset.
One of the key upgrades on the Y6s is its shift to an octa-core processor with the Helio P35. The 12nm processor aims to deliver better performance than the Y6 Pro 2019’s Helio A22 processor and is at par with the Snapdragon 450 in synthetic benchmarks.
Huawei, everything about this brand is nothing but quality. Been one of the top Chinese tech giants, the company is doing quite well in both affordable and flagship devices. Putting their rift with the USA aside, Huawei is one of the best products to buy.
