There’s a lot to like about the Huawei Watch GT2e, especially for runners who get a good, solid watch with plenty of metrics and insights. The Firstbeat advanced analytics will be a firm favourite – and it excels at workout tracking, although we’d like more options to hand off data to existing...
Strong fitness insights; 100 tracked sports; Great sleep tracking
In essence, the GT 2e is more of a fitness tracker disguised as a smartwatch. It doesn’t have a selection of third-party apps, and only supports the most basic of notifications, without letting you reply to messages. And that’s okay. If you want a bonafide smartwatch, there are plenty of other options out there. Huawei continues to deliver sturdy smartwatches that can compete with the very best on battery life and features. The choice between the GT 2 and GT 2e comes down the personal preference, but I do prefer the sportier look and feel of the new version and you do get more RAM.
Battery life; Competitive price; Good Huawei Health app; Tracks loads of sports
Quite heavy; Setup complexity; No 4G/LTE
