When faced with a device like the Huawei P20 Pro - which emphasizes the camera side of the equation so strongly - you inevitably have to scrutinize just how important a part of the overall picture a smartphone's camera really is.

Phenomenal camera; Really competitive price

EMUI remains a weakness; No headphone jack

Huawei P20 Pro Review - Mid-Range Marvel

Despite missing some minor features, the P20 Pro is amazing value for money and feels every inch a flagship device.

Great design; Good Stamina; Fantastic camera

Weak processor; No wireless charging; No MicroSD card slot

Huawei P20 Pro Review: Bringing Sexy Back | Recombu

The Huawei P20 Pro offers the best of what smartphones have to offer in 2018. That design is frankly saliva-inducing, while the gorgeous display, smart software and impressive battery life make for a desirable everyday experience.

Superior battery life; Gorgeous; stand-out design; Brilliant OLED screen; Super-smart camera tech

Wow! Bought this when mate came, because the price broke. For what I get, I really find nothing to complain about. All it does makes it extremely effective. Battery, camera, onion etc. After a few weeks of use, I'm still impressed and find new interesting features and stuff. Highly recommended!

Huawei P20 Pro review

In the P20 Pro Huawei has delivered a stunning phone which should be on your shortlist along with the Galaxy S9 and iPhone X. Sure, there are some niggles such as the lack of stabilisation for 4K video, no headphone jack and no wireless charging, but if your priority is photography then the P20 Pro does not disappoint. Add in the long battery life, dual SIM slots and great screen and you've got the complete package: this is one of the best phones of 2018. It's a fair amount more than the regular model so save yourself £200 on the regular P20 if you don't mind 'only' dual rear cameras, no waterproofing and an LCD screen vs OLED.

Huawei P20 Pro review: See it and believe the hype

When faced with a device like the Huawei P20 Pro - which emphasizes the camera side of the equation so strongly - you inevitably have to scrutinize just how important a part of the overall picture a smartphone’s camera really is. After all, these days, once you go above $800 or so, the differences between the different smartphones you can buy largely come down to two things: the software experience and the camera.

A good smartphone is more than just a camera - and while the P20 Pro’s camera do catch more of the finer details than the competition can, a lot of elements around that camera don’t always deliver on the same level.

Phenomenal camera; Really competitive price;

EMUI remains a weakness; No headphone jack;

Huawei P20 Pro review: the new benchmark in mobile photography

This is our full Huawei P20 Pro review; we have spent two weeks with the phone and used it across France, Hungary, and Romania.

- great design and colors; - benchmark smartphone photography; - high-quality display; - great performance; - insane battery life; - solid speakers for multimedia

no wireless charging; no headphone jack could upset some; Master AI image processing is at times inconsistent; concealing the notch via software needs work in some apps

The Huawei P20 Pro has the best smartphone camera around, but the myriad options for using it might confuse some users. The phone is also beautiful and powerful, but it's missing wireless charging and a headphone jack. It's not cheap, but it's worth the money.

Versatile three-camera system takes incredible photos; Excellent low-light mode; Can run two instances of the same app simultaneously; Gradient finish is beautiful; Generous storage and battery life

That notch tho

Huawei P20 Pro review: Is three cameras the magic number?

Huawei has been really impressing us with its P-range of smartphones for a while now and the P20 Pro is the latest entry into the series. The Chinese-brand has shunned its budget image and carved out a reputation for offering Apple-like hardware with Android software at a premium price that puts it...

Premium design; Triple camera system; Improved software; Great battery life

Design lacks originality; UI still isn't perfect

Huawei P20 Pro review: A new phone camera king is born

Huawei's product output has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs over the last couple of years. But those software lows in the P8 and screen issues in the P10 have been used as educational stepping stones.

Stunning design with superb colour finishes; Excellent battery life; A camera that genuinely matches the best in class; Impressive sound quality; All the power and performance you'll need

No wireless charging; Face Unlock still miles behind Apple's equivalent; The notch (can be software hidden; Though; ‘Portrait' bokeh still off the mark; Some software foibles
