Honor Band 6 : Android owners, beware

The Honor Band 6 is a great looking wearable but has a known issue with Android handsets

Great watch-like look; Super sleep tracking; Impressive stamina;

Connected GPS hobbled on Android; Screen tough to read in sunlight; No additional apps;

Huawei Band 6 Forest Green 55026648 review

: The Huawei Band 6 might look like a simple fitness tracker, but in reality, it offers so much more than its competitors in the Philippines. Its large and incredibly bright display makes it stand out from similarly-priced offerings in the country, and its features elevate it above the offerings of...

Huawei Band 6 Forest Green 55026648 review

The Honor Band 6 is a really likeable fitness tracker. It's clear that the Huawei equivalent will offer you a nicer overall look, but for the money, you're getting a solid fitness tracking experience overall. That larger display makes it a lot more enjoyable to use as well.

Nice, big display, Good battery life, Solid fitness tracking

Decent Fitness Tracker

The screen display is decent with nice and vibrant colors. Sleep tracking works really well and is accurate. Heart rate monitoring works fine unless you do intensive workouts then it will struggle a bit to accurately measure the sudden increase in heart rate. Most of the activity modes have the same functionality with time, calories, heart rate measured. Only the major exercises like running, treadmill etc have more information given like pace, speed, cadence, stride etc. Battery life is good with all stress and heart rate monitoring turned all constantly getting around 10 days. Only downside is the Huawei health app which asks a lot of...view more

Asks for too much private data

This watch has zero functionality - not even a watch face - until you install the Huawei app on you phone *and* give it access to all your browsing history, all your phone settings and data, and give it permission to make and receive phone calls even though this watch has no phone call functionality. It even promises not to make or receive calls while insisting you give it permission lol. If you decline any of the permissions it closes out and your watch goes back to a blank face. It demands so much information that has absolutely nothing to do with the functions of the watch. Too dodgy.

Honor Band 6 review: Exactly what a fitness tracker should be

It’s probably best not to think of the Honor Band 6 as a simple fitness tracker, as it does more than count your steps, but for a lot less money than a smartwatch. All the sensors and health tracking tech you expect is inside, plus Honor has added in some smartwatch-like functionality, just as it did on the Honor Watch ES. Does this make the Honor Band 6 a desirable hybrid device, or is it a messy amalgamation that doesn’t really know what it’s supposed to be? I’ve found out. The Honor Band 6 is shaped like the Honor Watch ES, just smaller and less complicated, and that makes it just about right. The plastic body of the Honor Band 6 has a 1.47-inch touchscreen on the front, a single button on the right-hand side, and some Honor branding on the left-hand side. It’s chunkier than the Samsung Galaxy Fit 2, but as it’s very lightweight, it’s never bothersome on your wrist. Despite the higher 11mm profile, I’ve worn it with shirts and overnight without a problem, and there are plenty of hol...

Compact and lightweight; Excellent sleep tracking; Useful smartwatch-like notifications; Very reasonably priced;

Import-only in the U.S.; No always-on screen;

Huawei Band 6 review

The Huawei Band 6 boasts a clear display and great battery life, but the heartrate monitoring is a letdown.

Competitive pricing; Long battery life; Large display;

Inconsistent heartrate monitoring; Straps non-removable; No GPS;

Huawei Band 6 review

The Huawei Band 6 is a good option if you’re in the market for an affordable fitness tracker. It’s easy to use, lasts almost ten days on a single charge and packs a bunch of excellent fitness features. Where it falters is smartphone pairing and data syncing, which can be slow and inaccurate. With the superior Huawei Watch Fit available for just a little more cash, it’s not the best value either.

Comfy and lightweight; Great display; Fitness features;

Finicky app sync; Limited watch faces; No GPS

Huawei Band 6 Forest Green 55026648 review

The Huawei Band 6 is a capable fitness tracker with a range of health and wellness features for a really good price. If you don’t want to spend big money on a multisport watch but need something that can track everyday activities with relative accuracy, the Band 6 is one of your best options.

Beautiful AMOLED display, Decent battery life, Plenty of health and wellness features on board

No on board GPS
