HP 35s Scientific Calculator

The HP's main claim to fame is reverse Polish notation support. Some people may find that perplexing, but it allows you to enter long expressions without using parentheses. Expressions are entered from the center outwards. The battery-powered HP features over 100 functions and 800 storage registers.

Quality RPN

More expensive than others but you get what you pay for. This is for serious college students and engineers who make their living using a calculator. Browse your manual and learn a little about it and you'll learn to appreciate what it can do.

Has all the features you need for engineering work and college math; RPN is the biggest pro; If you don't know how to do RPN, learn it and you will understand why people pay more for RPN calcs; Calculations are faster and easier to understand and keep track of what you're doing

No printed manual; Manual is a pdf file on a disc; >:

HP 35S

If you want a RPN scientific calculator without spending a lot of money, this is probably a good one for you. I didn't want to spend the money on the bigger HP calculators.

HP 35S Scientific Calculator

I have a HP 33S and an HP 15C as well, and I bought this one as another calculator for routine calculations. I love RPN, with this calculator one can use both algebraic and RPN notation. The keys are the "classic" HP keys, easy to read and very comfortable to use.

I absolutely love this calculator. My dad gave me his before and I managed to lose it so I bought another one. For some reason the one I bought seemed to be a bit cheaper in quality but it is still a great tool. It has plenty of options. Very comfortable; it feels solid in your hands.

RPN and Programmability are a huge PLUS!

I'm okay with doing expressions left-to-right, really I am. However, when one of my electronics teachers recommend I try out this thing called "RPN", I eventually did some investigating. Coincidentally, I was also researching how programming was done on graphing calculators.

Clear Display; Easy to Use; Good Value; long battery life; Quality; button feel

best RPN calculator since the 15C

I never liked the 28C (or 28S when it came out 30 years ago) or 48 series as much as the 11C/15C. This model is what the follow-ons should have been, even keeps the orange+blue color scheme.

Very useful pro calculator. Advantages: - No graph function, use computers for what they are good at and calculators to what they are good at, ie a flexible tool - RPN! - Good formula manipulation (with the solve) - Build quality, buttons and chassis seem to be able to hold many years - Good...
