Personally, I would never wear Shalima as I find it too bashful and too complex for my liking, but I certainly have an appreciation for the work that the perfumer has put into it. I had purchased a bottle after being intrigued by its origin and while I tried and tried to like it, I was never able to...

You don't wear Shalimar, Shalimar wears you!
On warm, spicy, oriental and vanilla wings directly into the scented sky... ... Shalimar is one of those great fragrances that makes the wearer pause in awe for a moment. The prelude is splendid and opulent, with luxuriant floral splendour, the most tangy citrus fruits and a bitter, smoky and...

Nice, but not for every day!
Looking for something a little heavier than a one-note floral, I found the description of a floral medley with vanilla and musk interesting. Shalimar is lovely, fine for parties and other outings--or romantic evenings, but if you're heading to the mall, PTA, or carwash, stick to something lighter.

"A perfume to remember!!"
Shalimar by Guerlain has been available since the 1920s so it's not surprising they call it their timeless perfume, sometimes they have a new bottle designed and repackage the perfume. The 2013/2014 bottle was designed by Jade Jagger.
Pros:
- A beautiful powdery oriental fragrance
- lasts very well
- beautiful bottle for 2014
Cons:
- It lacks the wow factor and might be too heavy for some

Guerlain Shalimar Perfume
I found this perfume at my local drug store , and was surprised at how wonderful it smelt. I will say to begin with though , that this is not a scent for the timid. This is a bold and very sexy smelling perfume .

Guerlain Shalimar and Shalimar Eau Legere : Perfume Review
The initial sensation is of cool citrus burst that quickly melds into a rich floral heart. The undercurrent of dark sensual pervades even the initial chilly note, setting the stage for the warmth of the base.

Absolutely love Shalimar by Guerlain, but...
...I just realized that Shalimar smells very similar to Guerlain's Habit Rouge Pour Homme! Similar, but Shalimar has a more prominent note of powder, whereas Habit Rouge has a prominent note of leather, although both are somewhat sweet. I love them both and wear them both! Very long-lasting also.

Shalimar. Such a gorgeous scent. It's definately the best (and easiest introduction) to the House of Guerlain. From Shalimar you can start to build your perfume collection. It's such a melody of warm flowers, exotic yet familiar. It's very, very sexy, but not overpowering.

amazing
I am not particularly a great fan of Guerlain perfumes, I find some of them difficult to like especially some of the newest ones, however I am crazy for Shalimar. This perfume that has been around since the 1920's so it has a whole load of history behind it.
