Save on the five-star Google Nest Hub Max with this Black Friday deal

If you're a fan of Google's Nest Hub , but wanted a larger smart display and a camera for video calls, then the Nest Hub Max can't arrive soon enough. Now we think we know when it's going to launch because somebody messed up at Google. As Droid Life reports, the Google Nest Hub Max has been listed on the Google Store for a while now, but always with a "Coming soon" tag rather than a launch date. However, yesterday it changed to read Sept. 9, confirming we have less than seven weeks to wait to buy one. But just as quickly, the listed date changed back to coming soon. Clearly someone at Google pushed an update too soon and the company isn't ready to share the date just yet. I'd be very surprised if it didn't re-appear unchanged in the near future, though. When PCMag reviewed the Nest Hub we found it to be a relatively inexpensive, small, and useful touch screen smart home device, but it had weak audio and no camera meaning video calls couldn't be made. Overall happy with this, as Ive got a subscription to YouTube premium and Netflix, so I can stream my favourite music while winding down in my bedroom or when I wake up. The speaker is good but at this price point much better speakers around. I like that I can link all my google speaker, and can stream Netflix onto this. Overall more positives than not.

Really a big con sale by a young sale person and his off sider to help, they were more interested in doing something else except help a aged customer

The Nest Hub Max's built in camera allows the unit to recognise each of us and present individual calendars. Additionally, it facilitates video calling with phones that have Google Duo installed. Plus, last but not least, it's a fully functional 'Nest' security camera. But the downside of the security camera function is that you have to pay $9 per month for a good standard of ongoing recording/alert functionality (and I'm currently looking for cheaper home security solutions like local recording with Eufy cameras). Overall, though, this is a great upgrade from the smaller Nest Hub, which I now use as a high-tech alarm clock/screen in the bedroom.

The nest hub is an upgrade for us as the smaller version we had the screen died. This is much better and clearer sound is more vibrant.

Adding a camera not only makes the Max significantly different from the smaller original Nest Hub, it's a logical way to add heaps of appeal. In one masterstroke it makes the Nest Hub Max a three-in-one smart home device: a security camera, speaker and smart display. And it's great.
