GoPro has always occupied a fairly tight niche of camera users. In fact, there are almost certainly more people who own the action camera than have lives gnarly or radical enough to actually need them.

GoPro's latest flagship action camera, the Hero6 Black, arrived in India last year at a rather steep price of Rs. 45,000. However, the company cut that down to Rs. 37,000 in January. While this is still higher than what it retails for in the US, it's a welcome improvement.
Waterproof; rugged body; Supports 4K 60fps recording; Good video in daylight; Easy-to-use app
Struggles in low light; A bit expensive
The GoPro Hero 6 Black is a great choice for avid adventurers, action sports enthusiasts, and even filmmakers to hop onto. For those people who already own a previous model GoPro, the Hero 6 is a very worthwhile upgrade to step your action camera videography to the next level.
Great image quality; HEVC; Built like a tank; Good wireless connectivity; Improved image stabilization; Bright display
The new GoPro and its range of accessories create a photography ecosystem in themselves
Overall, I'm blown away by the GoPro Hero6 Black. As regular readers know, I'm all about a few core things, and in particular with action cameras: Image quality, ease of use, and the end-state specs. And in all three categories this nails it, especially image quality.
After months of speculation, GoPro's latest and greatest camera, the hotly anticipated Hero 6, has landed in our grubby mitts. Resident camera-fettler Reuben Bakker-Dyos has spent the morning playing with the new action camera and he's ready to give his first impressions.
