Garmin Index S2 review

The Garmin Index S2 is a superb smart scale, particularly for athletes with long-terms fitness goals in mind. If you already own a Garmin device then the ability to see your activity stats alongside your weight and body composition is a real benefit. It's expensive though, and if you're not going to use all of the Garmin Connect app's extra features then you might be better off with a cheaper smart scale from the likes of FitTrack or Withings.

Sorry but I had to return due to two reasons. First being the user interface to tap to start the screen was not consistently responsive. It has its own mind as to when it would be switching on. Didn’t fit my criteria of flicking on a device and perhaps many would relate to that. The other being there wasn’t a choice as to how I could allow my whole family to use the device. Kids (teens) love to use but they’re not old enough to have accounts which Garmin enforce you to do. And there was bonus! I’m forced to share my contacts to the mobile app! Sorry again for being so negative but hopefully this would give a true picture of what to expect over the advertising on the page both on JBHIFI and the Garmin’s. On a positive note, let’s say you’re okay with all above, it’s a shiny piece of equipment. Just the one you’d like to have around your home and get onto measure your progress. For me it’ll be a wait till a better version.

Sleek looking and works great.

This scale appears to be very accurate and it is easy to use, synched easily with my Garmin app, and is making it easy to monitor my health journey. It is a great looking piece of kit. At the high end price for smart scales, but I had bought a cheap one last year that gave nothing but headaches. I am glad I bought this one.

Not user friendly

Worst scales in the world for a family, trust me don’t buy one……

Great product just expensive!

I brought the scales a few weeks ago now, previously having Fitbit ones. All of the connectivity issues to the wifi and internet I had previously are gone with this product. The scale weight is always precise and consistent.
