Bought it primarily for golf and fitness, so far, so good, although the first one I bought was sent back due to terribly inaccurate golf yardages on the 3 courses I play regularly. So far, so good with the latest.

As is tradition with the Garmin Fenix cycle, we don't expect we'll see the Garmin Fenix 6 until 2019. So for this year, Garmin is refreshing its trio of Fenix sports watches , with the Garmin Fenix 5X Plus topping out the range. Yes, it's called the Plus because it's the 5X – plus a bit more.
Extensive sports tracking; Garmin Pay and music; New pulse oximeter sensor
Mammoth size; Expensive; Still a bit ugly
Onboard music, maps, and new metrics make the Fenix 5X Plus a training partner like no other.
Color topographic maps are handy; Music storage with Spotify support; Lots of performance metrics; Long battery life; Nearly perfect GPS accuracy
Music transfer is clunky; Expensive
Some would say that when Garmin launched the Fenix 5X it had nailed it with the ultimate GPS sports watch. Garmin though appears to want to keep pushing beyond that both in terms of features and specs, hence the Garmin Fenix 5X Plus, which it launched alongside the Garmin 5 Plus and 5S Plus.
Onboard maps; Great design and build; So many sports supported
This is large; So expensive; Connect app can be busy
While many enjoy outdoor sports for the sheer joy, I am a very competitive person who also likes to geek out on the data that can be captured through these activities. So while I prefer to be outside running, biking, hiking, golfing, and fly fishing, I also always have at least one wearable...
Stunning rock solid hardware; Multi-day battery life; Music and payment support without a phone; Accurate GPS and activity tracker; Clear and crisp color display; Five button navigation with no touchscreen; Outstanding software providing all the data you could ever want; Support for a vast number of...
Music setup is still a bit clunky; Expensive; Pulse Ox data isn't yet syncing to the app or Garmin website
Very satisfied. On a mill, spin bike, rower, outdoor hike, walk, run, the HR monitoring, calorie counting, step counting, stroke counting, battery life, pulse-ox, all very good functions. The weight lifting app -- not sure if that's at all realistic unless you spend way more time lifting than I do.
Great for everything. Works well in the gym and out pounding the pavement and can easily be classed up for formal use or casual wear. Looks great always. Works great always.
I have been wearing my Garmin Fenix 5X Plus for a few weeks now. I have used the watch for everyday use and also when exercising (running, gym, cycling). I love the watch and I would buy it again.
This watch has s many features that I would have to write a short story it cover it all. In short it's a solid well built watch that has it all and then some. I love a well built yet aesthetic build in anything in my life. My clumsy self can knock it into things with no issues with the screen.
Still fairly new to this watch, but it is quite easy to get used to, very functional and keeps me motivated. Golf function is handy but cumbersome to keep score on Easy to miss a hole and no warning that you've done so. No oversight unless you go back through hole by hole.
Multi activity; oxygen sensor; HR; maps; large screen makes things more visible for those of us that might normally need readers:
