I bought this camera for my hawaiian honeymoon and was terribly disappointed. Yes it works underwater and the housing on mine was sound, it survived underwater and seemed sturdy. The picture quality was terrible.

Review: Fujifilm XP120 digital camera

We don't review too many affordable point-and-shoot cameras these days – call it a symptom of everyone having a good quality snapper in their pocket. Thanks, smartphones!

Fujifilm FinePix XP120

FujiFilm FinePix XP120 Digital Camera , 16.4MP BSI CMOS Sensor, Fujinon 5x Optical Zoom Lens, (Lime Green)

This was the cheapest waterproof camera that I could find that wasn't utter junk. So the dry shots aren't too sharp, quite grainy in the dark, and it will take a bit of post-processing to get the colours back, but this was perfect for kids and around water.

Fujifilm XP120 review

Is the XP120 an outstanding camera? For the money, I think it is: while its image quality and controls are nothing more than decent, its true appeal lies in its tough, nigh-on indestructible build quality, small size and affordable asking price. If you’re looking for a rugged cam that delivers superb images every time you click that shutter button, you should look at something a bit more expensive like the Olympus TG-5. But if you want a cheap, rugged compact for photography situations where you don’t want to risk wrecking your smartphone, look no further than this.

Small, lightweight and tough; Very affordable;

Image quality merely acceptable; No zoom rocker;

Older model was better

I had the older version of this camera which I feel was better but can no longer buy. Basically ok, a few too many options but robust and easy to handle. Photos mainly ok but sometimes exposure not great and doesn't handle moving objects ( dogs running around) as well as my previous model even when...

It worked nicely for about a month

We bought this camera to take snorkeling on a cruise. But unfortunately, before we took the cruise. It stopped working. We only tested it under water once and was certain to keep everything tight while doing so. I am in the process of trying to file a claim but it is obviously a huge pain!
