Fitbit Versa 3 Pink/Gold FB511GLPK review

The smart features packed into this fitness-focused wearable make this watch a worthy choice for the price

Fitbit Versa 3 review: A smartwatch that over delivers on health features

The Fitbit Versa 3 is Fitbit's best smartwatch for most people. With an always-on display, built-in GPS, blood oxygen and temperature tracking during sleep, and a battery that lasts six days, the Versa 3 holds its own against some of its pricier competitors like the Apple Watch SE and even the Fitbit Sense. While you don't get the stress tracker and FDA-cleared electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) like the Sense, the rest of the Versa 3's smartwatch and fitness features are similar. As an added bonus, the Versa 3 costs $100 less than the Sense.

The Versa 3 is a cheaper alternative to the Fitbit Sense with temperature and SpO2 tracking plus all the fitness features you'd expect.

Up to six days' battery life; Bright, always-on AMOLED display; Advanced sleep tracking; Onboard GPS; Mic and speaker for text dictation;

Relies heavily on mobile app; Slow to sync; Health metrics are hard to find; Notification replies are Android-only;

Fitbit Versa 3 Pink/Gold FB511GLPK review

The Fitbit Versa 3 finally gives us built-in GPS, but sabotages itself with a dubious new design choice

Great look; Built-in GPS; Lovely screen; Strong battery life

The button replacement is poor; GPS tracking could be stronger; Limited additional apps

Fitbit Versa 3 Pink/Gold FB511GLPK review

In addition to ample health and fitness features, the Fitbit Versa 3 smartwatch improves on its predecessor with a larger screen, integrated GPS for pace and distance tracking, a blood oxygen sensor, and fast charging.

Attractive design with large; always-on color display; Integrated GPS; Battery charges quickly and lasts for days; Measures blood oxygen level while sleeping; Supports Amazon Alexa; Fitbit Pay; and Spotify

Laggy touch screen; No stress tracking; skin temperature; or ECG sensors; Doesn't provide high and low heart rate notifications

Fitbit Versa 3 Pink/Gold FB511GLPK review

The Versa 3 marks a nice evolutionary step forward for what is now Fitbit's main smartwatch. The design has been refined largely for the better and its abilities as a fitness tracker still shine through.

Attractive look; bigger screen; Solid fitness tracking; Great battery life; Brimming with health data

Fitbit Versa 3 Pink/Gold FB511GLPK review

Despite its flaws, the Fitbit Versa 3 managed to introduce some useful updates over its predecessor and did it all without increasing the price. The AMOLED screen is sharp as ever and if you don't care much about ECG or stress measurements, the Versa 3 is probably the best Fitbit for you.

Handsome design; Updated user interface; Built-in GPS; SpO2 sensor; Active Zone Minutes is now included; Two voice assistants on board

Screen could be more responsive; 'Inductive' button is not perfect by any means; Heart rate and GPS accuracy could be improved still

Fitbit Versa 3 Pink/Gold FB511GLPK review

The Fitbit Versa 3 launched earlier this year alongside Fitbit's flagship tracker, the Sense. That device is packed with features, including heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, what have you — but it can also do ECG scans, and even purportedly measure your stress levels.

Battery life Three days with the always-on display active, six without; Health tracking Robust. Step and heart rate counts seem very accurate; Design Understated and handsome.

Glitchy software A bug frequently prevents the switching of clock faces. Some info fails to sync for hours at a time; SpO2 tracking No longer tied to a specific clock face, but the stats shown in the Fitbit app are hard to find and not very informative.

Fitbit Versa 3 review

With integrated GPS and some design tweaks, the Fitbit Versa 3 is an excellent wearable. Like its predecessor, though, it’s more a fitness tracker than a smartwatch, with very limited productivity apps on offer. What you do get is great battery life, a better display than before, and a plethora of fitness statistics, making this a very compelling and affordable Apple Watch alternative. However, given this is the third iteration of the popular Versa line, it's a little disappointing that Fitbit is still not quite hitting the mark in some areas.

Beautiful display; Built-in GPS; Lightweight and comfortable;

Poorly designed side button; Requires Fitbit Premium subscription to unlock advanced features; No offline Spotify support

Fitbit Versa 3 Pink/Gold FB511GLPK review

Fitbit finally rights the wrongs of the Versa 2 via some much-needed course correction in the superior Fitbit Versa 3. Now boasting built-in GPS tracking, the Google Assistant and a longer battery life, all without a price increase, the Versa 3 is one of the best fitness trackers you can buy for...

Feature-packed for the price; GPS is finally here; Six-day battery with intensive use

Fitbit's apps and app store still need work; The step count is just too eager; Still no support for offline Spotify; Fitbit Premium is essential for getting your money's worth

Quite a good sports watch

Generally a reasonable sports watch but I refuse to pay the premium cost for what I think should be included
