The Fitbit brand is everywhere. If you wear an Apple Watch today, chances are you wore a Fitbit before it. And even if you've never worn a Fitbit you probably know what it is, having seen it on dozens or hundreds of other wrists.

On paper, the Fitbit Versa 2 is a compelling upgrade over its predecessor. It features a bigger, better display, useful Alexa integration and refined software. It still lasts days longer than Samsung and Wear OS watches and looks pretty, to boot.

For me, the Fitbit Versa is frustratingly close to being amazing but I couldn't make it my main watch without a GPS chip. It's a shame the company doesn't make a Versa 2 Pro with GPS built in, because it's far nicer to look at and use than the Fitbit Ionic.

The Fitbit Versa 2 is very similar to the original Versa and you'd be hard-pressed to spot the differences unless you really know your Versa smartwatches or look very closely.
