Fitbit Inspire HR - White Black FB413BKWT review

The Fitbit Alta, see our full review , was released in 2016 and last week we saw the introduction of its successor, the Fitbit Inspire and Inspire HR . I've spent the last week wearing the Fitbit Inspire HR and its clearly one of the most subtle activity trackers for those not interested in wearing...

Lightweight and comfortable for 24/7 wear; Long battery life; Detailed sleep and heart rate data; Fitbit ecosystem well supported

No altimeter for stair climb data; Hard to read in direct sun

Fitbit Inspire HR Review

Fitbit has launched two models under the Inspire name, the standard Inspire and the higher-end Inspire HR reviewed here. Unsurprisingly, the big difference is the inclusion of Fitbit's famed PurePulse heart rate monitor on the more expensive model.

Water-resistant to 50m; Touchscreen display; Sharp and easy to read display; More usable smartphone notifications; Comfortable strap

No altimeter; Only basic swim tracking; Limited number of custom watch faces; Big bezel around the screen feels like wasted space

Light

I never wear a watch or bracelets....I decided to try a Fitbit Inspire HR. I am tiny and small boned. This is nice and small, very light weight. The band is soft rubber....it looks worn easily in that chalky black. I wanted it to track my steps....it does track but always adds too many...

Surprisingly motivating...

I loved the3 Fitbit Uno, and was a little hesitant to try a wrist based Fitbit. I'm sensitive to non-leather wristbands. So far, I'm happy with my purchase. The big button does not always stop the exercise logging mode, which can be more than annoying.

Fitbit Inspire HR - White Black FB413BKWT review

The Fitbit Inspire HR doesn't break new ground in terms of what a fitness tracker is capable of. What it does do is bring us a tracker that is supremely good value for money. It's well built, and showcases some of Fitbit's best features in an affordable package.

Light and comfortable to wear; Packs in a lot of features; The price

Fitbit Inspire HR review

The Fitbit Inspire HR is a great little fitness tracker. As well as the Fitbit staple of step counting, it’s surprisingly good for proper run tracking if you do so with a phone in your pocket. Add notifications and, well, that’s just about everything we want in a low-key band. Battery life is one part you’ll need to consider. 3-4 days of use with all the good stuff turned on is not a great result. But it’s almost the lone black mark on what is a truly likeable Fitbit that’s good for much more than just step counting. If you’re weighing up whether to buy this or the basic Inspire, get the Inspire HR. It’s much better.

Fitbit Inspire HR Review

Replacing Fitbit's Alta and Alta HR, the Inspire ($69.95) and Inspire HR ($99.95) track step count, distance, and basic sleep metrics. If you want more detailed insight on your health and fitness, it's worth the extra $30 for the Inspire HR, which we're reviewing here. In addition to continuous heart rate monitoring, the Inspire HR tracks sleep stages (REM, deep, and light sleep) and measures your cardio fitness levels. And like Fitbit's Versa Lite ($159.95), it's very simple to use. For under $100, it provides accurate fitness tracking, smartphone notifications, and up to five days of battery life in a stylish, swim-proof design, making it our Editors' Choice for entry-level fitness trackers. Design and Display The Inspire HR is small and unobstrusive. You can pair it with jewelry without feeling like your wrist is overcrowded. It's available in black with a black silicone wristband, lilac (which looks more like a dark purple) with a lilac silicone wristband, or black with a whit...
