Fitbit Ace 2 review

The Fitbit Ace 2 is designed especially for younger children. It's a well-priced if basic activity tracker. It lacks the more advanced health measurements you'll find on the pricier Fitbits but it has enough to motivate a family to up their exercise.

Fitbit Ace 2 - Night Sky Neon Yellow FB414BKBU review

The Fitbit Ace 2 doesn't break the mould for what a kids' fitness tracker can do, but unlike its predecessor it puts everything into a more child-proof package. This feels like a tracker built for kids, but also one that has strong core features and the ability to adapt when Ace 2 owners get bored...

Waterproof design; New goal celebrations; More distinctive look

Fitbit Ace 2 review

Built with the intention of making sure your young ones are as active as possible, the Fitbit Ace 2 improves on the previous model with a more eye-catching design, better screen and improved water resistance. To top it all off, it's slightly cheaper than the original, too.

Colorful design; Changeable straps; Swim-proof;

Feels a bit cheap; Somewhat expensive; App can be fiddly to set up

Fitbit Ace 2 Review

The Ace 2 is the follow-up to Fitbit's first kids' fitness tracker, the Ace. It's designed for a wider range of children (ages six and up as opposed to eight), at a lower price that parents will appreciate ($69.95; $30 less than before). Although it tracks the same metrics as its predecessor—step count, active minutes, hourly movement, and sleep—it's more durable, easier to use, and has a more versatile design. It's a healthy and motivational way to make sure your kids are staying active. It earns our Editors' Choice as the best childrens' fitness tracker you can buy. The Inspire In Disguise To create the Ace 2, Fitbit has essentially taken the Inspire and tucked it into a new wristband. The beauty here is that when kids outgrow it, they can swap it out with Inspire accessories rather than purchase a completely new wearable. Adults aren't the only ones who need to move more to stay healthy. The Fitbit Ace 2 features a number of improvements over its predecessor, making it the best children's fitness tracker you can buy.

Affordable; Vibrant, kid-friendly design; Interchangeable straps; Fairly accurate fitness tracking; Long battery life

No heart rate monitor

Fitbit Ace 2 review: A revamped fitness tracker for kids

A welcome refresh that's more appealing to children. We think the module should be more substantially held within the strap, but the addition of a more engaging display and waterproofing makes this a better device than the previous version.

Bigger display does more; Adds timer and stopwatch; Waterproofing; Strap easier to undo; Parents stay in control;

Battery life should be longer; Not securely fixed into strap;
