When I was younger I spent many hours playing the Dynasty Warriors franchise. They had an interesting story and fun game off shoots like Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires. Empires allowed you to take over territories and manage resources, to an extent, but still allowed the normal hack and slash gameplay.

I've been a fan of the Fire Emblem series for a decent while now. I always love playing through those games to scratch my turn-based itch, but I don't always want to play a game that requires strategy and prior thinking. I was really happy when I saw Fire Emblem Warriors got announced.

Fun and simple combat; a variety of characters to choose from; lots of content

Combat is very similar to other Warriors games; cast of characters might not be to everybody's wanting for a crossover game; graphics can be a bit lackluster if you look too close

I am all over the board with Fire Emblem Warriors. I like the concept of Fire Emblem in a Warriors style game. I am also tired of all these Warriors games. What is next Kirby Warriors Or Mega Man Warriors Don't laugh, if these people think they will take your money for it they will make it.

The story is laughable. It's bad. Don't try to understand it. BUT! The game itself Addictive. Far more complex then you'd think, the supports between characters are endearing or hilarious. And most importantly, it's fun. Are there problems with the roster of characters Check. Too many clones

I got this special edition on sale and well I enjoyed it good quality not a huge hack and slash fan but figured worth a try for an extra Switch game.

A well balanced though out game having a good mixture of the original fire emblem and this new style

Another cracking game for the switch, with many beloved characters from The fire emblem franchise. Graphics are super, runs like a dream, good story and very addictive!

With the success of Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U and its subsequent 3DS incarnation , it makes sense that Nintendo would go back to that well with some of its other franchises. The only question was, which one would be next to get the Musou treatment

Strategy plays a major role; classes are a big gameplay element; great remixes of already fantastic Fire Emblem music; good pacing; smooth combat; sound and performance options to optimize your experience

Not enough representation of characters across the Fire Emblem franchise; lack of support conversations; generic Fire Emblem story

While it does gets tiresome in the later stages, Fire Emblem Warriors excellently blends frantic hack-and-slash with deep strategic role-playing to deliver a package that fans of both series are certain to love.
