The shredder does what it says on the tin and seems really high quality, gobbles up the paper. The only downside is that it's pretty noisy, we've had to put it in a remote corner of the office so that it doesn't affect people on the phone. It sounds very much like a dentist drill!

This shredder is everything it promises to be. It is super quiet, can handle the 12 pages, credit cards, CDs and jam-proof!! Who could ask for more. I was leary but am so glad I decided to get this model.

Great shredder for personal or small office use.

Seems to be a very well made shredder with a display to indicate whether or not you're overloading it. Can't rate durability at this time but expect it to be very good given the initial quality.

The Fellowes Powershred 73Ci shredder ($199.99) is a good fit for personal or home-office use, or light duty in a tiny office. It's simple to use, shreds items other than paper, and performed mostly as billed. It also has a nice safety feature to protect curious hands or paws.

Having had some time to put the Fellowes Powershred 12-Sheet 100 Percent Jam Proof Cross-Cut Shredder (73Ci) through its paces, I am very pleased with its performance. It has a voracious appetite for paper, CDs and Credit Cards, all of which it eats quite easily.

With so many different types of shredders out there, it was conceivably difficult to select one over the other. Most machines have similar features as well. A feature on this unit is that there's the auto-safety which prevents the shredder from jamming up.
