A very good product

Having had some time to put the Fellowes Powershred 12-Sheet 100 Percent Jam Proof Cross-Cut Shredder (73Ci) through its paces, I am very pleased with its performance. It has a voracious appetite for paper, CDs and Credit Cards, all of which it eats quite easily.

4 Star Overall

With so many different types of shredders out there, it was conceivably difficult to select one over the other. Most machines have similar features as well. A feature on this unit is that there's the auto-safety which prevents the shredder from jamming up.

I used to buy the cheap shredders and throw them out when they burnt out. For the price of this I should have purchased this Fellows powershred 73ci a long time sfo and would have saved a bundle. Has never overheated and will shred credit cards and cds. The entire family uses it and it is very safe.

A very good product

Upon delivery,I found the Fellowes Powershred 73ci very well packaged and protected for shipment. Delivery was prompt. Since setting it up, which was very simple, I have used it almost non-stop to shred four large garden paper bags full of shedded material, without a "time out" period.

Good Quality Shredder

I am very impressed with thus shredder. I ordered one for our small office a week ago and we love it! We had an older Fellowes shredder model and it stopped working on us. I decided to still stick with the Fellowes brand by ordering something similar, which is the Powershred 73Ci model.

73ci Shredder - Not Bad

Purchased this to replace a 7-yr. old Royal. It eats more paper more quickly, is much quieter, and has great auto features the help prevent overheat (which lengthens its life) and jamming (which don't always completely work).

My first paper shredder

I purchased this Paper Shredder (Powershred? 73Ci 100% Jam Proof Cross-Cut Shredder) from Costco on line. It was delivered to my house the very next day in good condition. very easy to unpack and assemble. easy to use and very quite. It has a sleek look and lighted touch sensative buttons.

Impressively good

Newegg, the box says it's heavy duty; Anything rated for 12 sheets at a time (and prefers to get 6) and 10 minutes of "continuous shredding" is NOT "Light-Duty"; Even the box really undersells it; I didn't notice the casters, which is really handy because the top is pretty heavy.

Not really as to say LOUD, but not quiet; If I were to do a few sheets of shredding in a shared office, I'd first look around to see if anyone was on a phone call, but I wouldn't bother to ask permission first; But if I had more substantial shredding, I'd ask first or do it at lunch.
