I love my scanner and use it all the time
It worked great the first time... The ONE and ONLY time I managed to get it to work! The quality of the scan is great but the software, Epson Scan, that comes with the scanner is buggy. The second time I tried to scan something, the software refuses to work. I'm operating on a Windows 10 system.
I wanted a flatbed scanner next to my desk for convenience. This is it. Easily integrated with my Windows 10 application. A joy to use compared with the all-in-one in the next room.
Good, fast, relatively light in weight scanner that definitely meets my scanning requirements. Color definition seems to be very good, and it is a step up from what I had before.
Scanner was very light and its not connecting to any laptop
great product.... I found it easy to install and use.
I purchased the Perfection V39 just a few weeks ago, but I've had sufficient time to put it to the test. I'd been temporarily entrusted with 270+ family photos and needed to scan them quickly. The reviews on the V39 were quite good, and Best Buy had one in stock.
I have been delighted with my Perfection V39 in the 3 months since buying it. I have produced hundreds of sheets of music for my local orchestra - all to a high standard. I would certainly recommend it. The easily detachable lid is a very useful addition when scanning thicker volumes.
I needed a flatbed scanner as my printer doesn't have a scanner integrated. This Epson Perfection V39 is great, it scans quick, it's cheap, it's sturdy and it only needs a micro usb to power. It arrived next day too!

Most flatbeds today can scan film, a design choice that's largely a response to the popularity of MFPs, which rarely include film-scan capability. The V39 ($99.99 at Amazon) leaves out the ability to scan film, so you don't have to pay for the feature if you don't need it, and focuses instead on giving you higher-quality scans for photographic prints than most MFPs can manage. More important, it delivers enough to make it our new Editors' Choice for a budget home scanner for high-quality photo scanning. There are only a few general-purpose flatbeds today that share the V39's lack of a film-scanning feature, including the Canon CanoScan LiDE 120 Color Image Scanner ($298.99 at Amazon) , which is our preferred pick for a budget home scanner for snapshot-quality photo scans; the Canon CanoScan LiDE220 Color Image Scanner ($366.99 at Amazon) , which the V39 replaces as ...
