Dyson Cinetic Big Ball animal+allergy Review

Dyson's DC65 Cinetic Big Ball Animal+Allergy is one of the most high-tech, feature-packed vacuums the company has produced to date, but all these bells and whistles don't come cheap.

Bagless; Filterless; Maneuverable; Lots of attachments; Great suction performance

Loud operation; Expensive

Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal + Allergy

Does your current vacuum seem to be getting worse with time? Is it failing to pick up all the crumbs and debris that it used to? Well, when's the last time you changed the filter? Never, huh? Don't worry, me too.

No filter needed; Doesn't lose suction; Good at picking up very fine debris

Very expensive; Heavy; Weak upright lock

Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal + Allergy Review

Does your current vacuum seem to be getting worse with time? Is it failing to pick up all the crumbs and debris that it used to? Well, when's the last time you changed the filter? Never, huh? Don't worry, me too. Now that most vacuums don't even use bags, it's easy to forget that there's still a filter you need to clean or replace in order to maintain efficiency. But that's not the case with the new Cinectic Big Ball Animal + Allergy vacuum from Dyson . The company claims that its Cinetic technology allows it to do away with the traditional filter, for a vacuum that won't lose suction in its lifetime. That's pretty impressive, and the Cinetic does an excellent job of sucking up just about any type of debris you throw at it. But for $699.99 it's quite an investment, especially when you can pick up something with comparable cleaning power for a lot less money, as long as you remember to maintain the filter. Design and AttachmentsAs always, Dyson has managed to craft an exceptional...

The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal + Allergy doesn't need a filter and won't lose suction, but you can get an equally powerful vacuum for a lot less money.

Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal + Allergy vacuum review

Dyson had one of the best bagless vacuums on the market before this latest redesign to remove the filter. Now that we don't need to worry about cleaning and replacing a filter, it makes this vac even better because it means it is maintenance free.

Great suction; No filters or bags to replace or clean; 5 year warranty; Built in hose; Long cord; Incuded tools and storage bag

Expensive; Dirt bin capacity is pretty low

Great product but a bit heavy for carrying up stairs.

Even though this cleaner has a smaller capacity than our previous Dyson, it is heavier and a struggle to get up stairs. Despite this the product is excellent at picking up debris on the carpet. I have never seen it so clean!

Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal Plus Allergy Review

This filter-less upright vacuum would be great for homes with a lot of carpet inside because it traps fine dust particles that can trigger asthma or cause allergic rhinitis. The absence of a pre-motor filter means there is no need to wash anything and one less maintenance task to worry about.

Captures even fine allergen without clogging up the filter; Comes with the tangle free turbine tool (a $70 value add) to clean pet hair; Comes with a reach under tool to clean up hard-to-reach spots under furniture that standard vacuums will not reach; Very decent reach – 33 feet (that includes the...

Very; very; very expensive; Relatively short power cord; Has less suction power than a; Only catches allergens up to 0.5 microns

This vacuum is the Mercedes of all vacuums!

I had my other Dyson for 12 years, (which I used 2-3 times a week) and it still worked great, but I got this Dyson Cinetic Big Ball, and it is incredible. The sucking power is off the charts. It gobbles up dirt, dust and cat hair (I have two cats) like nobody's business.

Takes a bit of getting used to the ball

We're on our second Dyson Animal (1st one lasted about 10 years). With two kids and two dogs in the house, vacuuming is a daily task. The Dyson Animal SUCKS (in a good vacuum way) really well.

Easy To Empty; Easy to Use; Efficient; Long Power Cord; Powerful/Good Suction

Accessory clumsy to use; Heavy; Won't stay upright (head/body perpendicular

The most sophisticated barrel vacuum cleaner ever created so far –...

From my vacuuming tests around the house, the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Barrel Animal Pro vacuum is as powerful as ever and thanks to the new enhancements, vacuuming just gets easier and less of a chore. A larger, high-capacity bin means less trips to empty the bin out.
