Dymos new printers now only support their new official tape which has an RFID tag in the roll. Dymo tape costs 5-10x more than other brands of tape, so the 5XL absolutely isn't worth buying. Had multiple Dymo printers (including smaller ones), but will be looking to integrate with another companies printer if possible - which is unfortunate because Dymo worked pretty seamlessly with warehouse management and courier systems. Due to having several Dymo printers, we had large amounts of now incompatible tape. You thought ink cartridges were bad? Dymo out did them. This new model will not print on anything other that Dymo branded labels (2x-10x price of generic ones). Just imagine if your printer prevented you from using standard reams of paper, absolutely ridiculous. There is no reason to buy the new range that outweighs this anti-consumer design.
