The U2412M is one of a dying breed. With most PC monitors adopting the 16:9 aspect ratio and Full HD resolution, this Dell's 24in IPS panel perseveres with the old- school 16:10 ratio to give an extra 120 pixels of vertical resolution.

I was trying to edit pictures on my laptop and it was very difficult. I'm now using this monitor as an external monitor and editing is SOOO much easier. Great product!

This has been a great monitor for many years. It provides a great picture, excellent clarity and sharpness, and does a good job maintaining the image quality when viewed from an angle thanks to the IPS panel.

Totally satisfied, and grateful to those who said not to worry (calibration, photography, etc.). Now I understand why this monitor has fans! Great color rendition, great value.

Fantastic monitor. Very bright and clear. Easy to set up and has a wonderfully crisp image. I would recommend this monitor especially for the price I paid.

This is a fine big monitor with a proper 1920 x 1200-pixel screen, which I've used daily for about three months now. Colour is fine with a brightness setting of 30, and I work a lot with artwork and magazine layouts so I know what's what.

Dell's 24in U2412M is expensive compared to its competitors, but for £299 you get an excellent build quality that suggests it'll survive the test of time. Wow - Definitely the best PC related investment I have ever made. This monitor is very nice to look at and work with. I have been using it for gaming, watching movies and regular office tasks. It is great for all these things.

I found it best for software engineers. That additional 120 pixels really makes a difference with more vertical space. I am sure as it's wonderful and exciting for developers. Other users would also find it incredible.
