Excellent monitor. Every color looks very real on this monitor.

Monitors are once more the interest of consumers who don't want a smartphone, a tablet or a TV. It's the sequel, so to say, of the manufacturer's UltraSharp U2410 released 3 years ago already.

It's getting harder to find 1920x1200 aspect monitors, but not everyone wants to watch movies all the time. For the office, the added vertical space is still a big plus. Dell makes a good quality, reliable monitor, works well with everything I've plugged into it.

The U2412M from Dell might look like a P2411H Professional series, but there's one important difference: it's an IPS screen, not a TN. That means better colour representation, better viewing angle and a higher price.

The DELL U2412M is a 24-inch IPS panel display in a widescreen (16:10) resolution, operating at 1920 x 1200. It features a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 16.7 million display colors, and an LED backlight, though the response time might be a bit longer than some action-focused gamers look for at 8ms.

I spent 2 months looking at monitors and finally decided to make the leap and purchase this. I'm glad I did. Colours and brightness of the screen is excellent and gaming at 1920 x 1200 is a a treat!

Although not as pleasing a design as newer monitors, this monitor performs well and has great features. I have had it next to Dell's U2414H and am more impressed with this one.
