Dell UltraSharp monitors have a reputation for offering solid color performance with a generous, business friendly feature set, and the UltraSharp U2412M lives up to that reputation.
Dell expands the U series monitors with the new U2412M. We find out what exactly it has to offer.
Amazing monitor, best I've ever used. Recommend you to buy it! 10/10
16:10; 1920x1200 Resolution; Very nice colors; Adjustability
No HDMI
We're seeing an increasing number of IPS panels, as the price of this high-end LCD technology seems to be falling into consumer territory. Unlike last month's Hazro HZ27WC , Dell's U2412M is aimed at a business market, which might excuse the fact that it's twice the price of a budget 24in monitor.
Dell's 24in U2412M is expensive compared to its competitors, but for £299 you get an excellent build quality that suggests it'll survive the test of time. Featuring an IPS panel with backlight LED technology and 1920x1200 full HD resolution, there's a range of connectivity options including VGA,...
This monitor does not have S-IPS panel, but LG's LM240WU8-SLA1 panel, which is an e-IPS panel. Source: HP dissasembly docs bit.ly/GVIR2N
Very good monitor overall
Not an S-IPS panel, but e-IPS; Higher price compared to some other models with same or nearly the same specs, no special bad pixel policy as its predecessor ZR24w
Wow - Definitely the best PC related investment I have ever made. This monitor is very nice to look at and work with. I have been using it for gaming, watching movies and regular office tasks. It is great for all these things.
I found it best for software engineers. That additional 120 pixels really makes a difference with more vertical space. I am sure as it's wonderful and exciting for developers. Other users would also find it incredible.
After using it, the Dell U2412M comes out with a lot of positives and no big negatives. The screen has a nice 16:10 aspect ratio that makes it feel roomier than a normal 16:9 display, and it has a nice adjustable stand that made it easy to fit on my desk.
Pros: The display quality and price (on sale) are great. Cons: It doesn't want to work with my KVM switch, so I'm looking into a workaround. Also, the bottom bezel (or the screen) is bowed toward the center, so it creates a thin-thick-thin-appearing Windows screen edge across the bottom.
