One of the most tedious, unpolished and unpleasant experiences I have had with a videogame in a very long time. This game does not respect your time, and it does not respect you. Best avoided.

Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise is a transcendant pile of garbage. It's both strikingly ambitious and laughably imcompetent in every regard, which is somewhat fitting given the iconic status of its predecessor. But all the campy brilliance aside, it's difficult to overlook its monolithic performance problems and decrepit approach to game design.
The world and characters are delightfully charming and weird; Its central mystery is awash with compelling twists and turns ; Mechanically ambitious ; Nothing else like it;
Visuals and performance are incredibly rough and distracting; Representation of minority characters is oddly hurtful ; Combat is dull, easy and repetitive ;
The character is fun, the music is chill, but the game is buggy. I literally cannot progress the game in chapter 2 skateboard mission as the game simply stuck on the result screen and doesn’t let me go anywhere!
The game has a good story, though somewhat not as good as DP1. The gameplay is substantially improved. It's performance isn't much improved, if not worse. The FPS isn't very high, and load times are fairly long. Patches are being released to improve performance. Consider checking before purchase.
