If ur looking for a mid range-ish wifi router this is the one for you. It has great features such as priority settings and has very good rang and speed for its price. A solid buy if your looking for a new router.
Bought as we have an old free modem from broadband provider and I am experiencing lag while using ps4 on fifa19 to keep in touch with my brother in South America (his broadband is fine). Speed test shows no improvement and actually the online experience is worse.
Excellent product . Current being used in 1200 sqft bungalow with 3 heavy users with multiple devices
Overall a great product. I have a few issues that i need to look at, but overall it works wonderful. I have to figure out why it will not show both 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands, and it will not let me set up a guest wifi login. I have don the update and followed the set up instructions.
D-Link's AC1900 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi Router (DIR-878) is affordable and offers respectable throughput performance, but it's certainly not the fastest router in its class. That said, it uses the latest Wi-Fi technology and features a user-friendly console that makes it easy to configure QoS for each client,...
Affordably priced; Easy to install; Supports Multi-User Multiple Input, Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) streaming; Four LAN ports
Lacks USB ports; Middling MU-MIMO throughput
This is a good buy if you don't plan on sticking with the stock 1.01 firmware.
Excellent range and speed
Occasionally reboots on its own; Seems fine overnight or when I'm not home, but it tends to happen when I connect a device; I tried hard and soft reboots, reinstalling the firmware via regular upload and recovery mode, switching dynamic and static IPs, playing with all the settings.
The UI is fine, the performance is solid, but none of that matters because this thing is not reliable. It spontaneously reboots at least several times a week. I've tried multiple firmware versions, but it hasn't helped.
Besides headphones and Bluetooth speakers, it seems like routers are next up for how many we review here at Techaeris, which isn't a bad thing as it means there are plenty of choices out there for consumers.
