I love USB thumb drives, I've got all sorts of them in varying shapes and sizes floating around my desk at all times. The ones I've got range in various sizes, shapes colors and capacities, I just think they're one of the coolest and most useful gadgets out there today.

Writing performance could be a bit better

Little USB memory sticks are two a penny these days, it seems, almost falling out of cornflake packets. But they are not all created equal. If you're going to trust potentially irreplaceable data to them, it makes sense to choose wisely and find a reliable brand.

Corsair states their official transfer speeds for their Flash Voyager series is 19MB/s read and 13MB/s write, except for the 128MB variant that runs at 9MB/s and 6MB/s, and in our tests the CMFUSB2.0-4GB performed as advertised.

We have in the past reviewed various kinds of Corsairs Voyager series, today we have their newest creation which is a bit smaller than the older Voyagers. Today we will look into the Voyager Mini that has some of the same features as its older brothers.

When we last looked at the Corsair Flash Voyager Mini , we were taken back by its capacity. At only 33x20mm and weighing under 6g, it seemed amazing that you could squeeze 4GB of flash storage into something so small.

The Voyager is the joint-cheapest 4GB flash drive in the group and it costs a reasonable £4.81 per gigabyte. The outer casing is rubber and should absorb any bumps or shocks. Unfortunately, there's nowhere to stow the rubber cap when detached.

It's like the Tardis: small on the outside, but extremely capacious on the inside, with 4GB storage and some classy touches that make the Corsair Mini Voyager a cut above regular USB flash drives.

Corsair was kind enough to send us their Flash Survivor drive for review. The Flash Survivor has a storage capacity of 32GB and has a USB 2 host interface for connection to a PC or MAC. In this review we will test the performance of the Flash Survivor 32GB USB flash drive.
