Cherry MX Board 6.0 Keyboard Review

Cherry is a name by now you are probably very familiar with. They are the makers of the mechanical key switches that are in many of the best gaming keyboards out there. If you didn't know they also make their own keyboards.

– Incredible build quality; – One of the most comfortable keyboards we've ever used; – Full NKey rollover; – Large wrist rest

– No software to program the keyboard; – Price

Cherry MX Board 6.0

The Cherry MX Board 6.0 has a thick aluminum top, a technology called "RealKey" for extremely fast response times, high quality Cherry MX switches with low profile keycaps, and controllable red backlighting.

Thick aluminum frame/top provides excellent build quality; Consistent; high quality Cherry MX Red switches; Extensive on-board lighting brightness control; Dedicated media buttons; Rare Cherry profile keycaps; Regardless of an inability to quantify the benefit of the RealKey technology; it is still...

Very expensive given the feature set; relative to its competitors; Thin ABS keycaps with laser etched legends will wear out sooner rather than later; Wrist rest is a dust magnet; and the actual magnets used are not very strong

Cherry MX Board 6.0 Keyboard review

It is hard to argue about the quality that Cherry offers, and as such the MX Board 6.0 is a very welcome addition in a slowly becoming saturated market of mechanical keyboards. I will say this though, in all honesty the looks I feel are a little dim, as well as the feature-set (compared to others).

Unlike most other hardware that gets swapped out frequently, the interaction between a user and their keyboard is a lot more intimate. It is a device that is literally touched every day and is almost an extension of the user's personality.

Cherry MX Board 6.0 review: a stylish, satisfying package

Out of the blue, a very nice gentleman from Cherry Corp UK asked me if I'd like to review their latest mechanical keyboard: the MX Board 6.0. It's quite shiny, with 100 levels of red backlighting, Red Cherry MX switches, and full layout and slightly low-profile keycaps.

Great Strafing Keyboard.

I defiantly feel this keyboards responsiveness in gaming with first and 3rd person shooters. Side strafing left and right now feels like I take 70% less hits. It's not a complete game changer other then strafing. But when strafing it almost feels like you have a lag shield around you...

Extremely well built, nice bright lighting, big/small step lighting adjustments, just a keyboard with no extra junk like USB hubs or sound/mic ports; It's also heavy too which makes it not move in the most intense gaming moments; The responsiveness and registration of keys is on a whole other level

Price..; Some of the key icons are hard to see or to small; No other key colors available; Warranty is not even 2 full years
