compact and powerful

I bought the 270EX for my XT and G10 . I have a 430EX but it is still too big and in certain situation, very cumbersome. A 430EX makes the G10 non compact. I can put the G10 and 270 in a small bag during travel and outings. The flash runs on 2AAs and has a recycle time of 3 seconds give or take.

compact, powerful for it size; E-TTL

Price; a bit expensive considering the old 430EX is about $150.00

Wonderful service from SMIFU

Smifu have the cheapest price for most photographic products on the internet. They state 6 to 10 days delivery but the goods are delivered before then .... you are kept informed where your goods are and when they have been sent by courier ... all in all an excellent service.

Good little flash with a swivel head + telephoto. Loading quickly. However, I do not seem able to get it to work as an auxiliary light for autofocus. Will try to update the firmware on the camera.

Great Flash

I love that the flash can be directed up or at intermediate angles, it makes it so much more versatile to use. Easy to attach, though the switch to turn on or to set as slave is a little hard to use, it would slide past the slave setting easily on me.

Attach Securely; Good Color Value; Powerful

Switch to turn on

Awesome Little Flash!

When I first started shooting hated using my Canon XT's built in flash. It drained the battery, you could not do continuous shooting, and the flash washed everything out because it was flashing directly. But this little flash is a champ!

-Small Size; Great dedicated flash; Not cumbersome; The ability to angle the flash to diffuse it is great; The feel of the flash is not bulky so the camera still feels comfortable in your hands

it is a bit pricey but the quality you are buying if totally worth it

Did a recent photo shoot and this guy worked great!!! It was small and portable. Takes only two AA batteries, and the wireless functionality was wonderful. Highly recommend buying it!!!

Great Entry Level Flash

This was my first Canon flash purchase after experimenting with cheaper models. It really is a class apart and a great addition for those looking to venture into the world of Speedlite.

Versatile; Wireless flash shooting; Quick recycling times; Lightweight,

Pretty good flash for it's price

I bought this flash 2 years ago just as a basic upgrade. I'm impressed with how it changes the photos. If your doing portraits of 2 or 3 people this thing will add nice warm tones. I like it a lot and it's done great things for me.

Pics may decieve

I had a little disagreement with what was pictured and what I received, but, after a bit of persistent hounding, both companies made a valiant attempt to make things right.

Good value. Takes up little space in camera bag.

I really like this flash. It has just enough height to avoid causing a lens shadow on close-up subjects. It's a good step-up from the built-in flash, more power plus height, without the bulkiness of the 430 ex and bigger flashes. I use the built-in flash a lot but sometimes it's just not enough.
