Faultless

This camera blows me away it is so customizable. I do primarily wildlife and have been waiting for a replacement for the 7d for years ( I have the 70d ). The focusing system is amazing it locks on so much quicker. You can dedicate so many buttons to different autofocus modes.

I purchased this camera for wildlife photography, paired with a 400mm F5.6L and 500mm F4L IS USM lens. I'm really impressed with the FPS, low noise compared to the mark 1 body, and amazing autofocus capabilities.

Frames per second; Less Noise; Amazing autofocus; great AF tracking features; incredible viewfinder

Noise performance at higher ISO's still isn't as good as I would like; but it is an improvement to the 7D mark I

Canon EOS 7D Mark II review

There are various ways to appraise the 7D Mark II, but none of them compels us to give it an unreserved recommendation. Compared to the original 7D, its autofocus sensor is significantly improved, it's a little faster in continuous mode and much faster in live view mode, it has GPS, interval...

Canon EOS 7D Mark II

Fast and feature-packed, but the Canon EOS 7D Mark II isn't the showstopper we'd hoped for

Canon 7D MII DSLR Review: Superfast but Finicky

The Canon 7D Mark II is an incredibly powerful, exceptionally fast camera and the fastest remotely affordable DSLR on the market. However, its image quality is just below what you'd expect from this type of camera, and as a result, less-expensive cameras like the Canon 70D and recent high-end...

Fastest autofocus and image processing of any APS-C DSLR camera we've evaluated; Fastest capture rate from any DSLR under $4,000; Translucent LCD overlays helpful information on optical preview

Priced as high as some full-frame cameras; Video capability doesn't match that of lower-priced rivals; More noise in high-ISO/low-light conditions than from Canon's own, cheaper 70D

Canon EOS 7D Mark II Review

The Canon 7D Mark II offers good image quality, excellent performance and a solid design at a good price. It's a great option for budget-conscious photographers who are already invested in Canon's ecosystem of lenses and accessories.

This camera has many more cross-type focus points than anything else we reviewed

Low-light performance suffers as a result of this camera's small APS-C sensor

I put this in the same class as the original 7d. AF is iffy. Actually the 7D was pretty good. &D II is about the same. De-noise is easier, frame rate is better. If you can pick one up used and in good shape it is ok. I would never buy a new one.

Canon EOS 7D Mark II review

Canon has made another fine all-round enthusiast DSLR, but it's not mind-blowing on the tech front

Good all-round performance; Fast; accurate autofocus; Weatherproof and rugged

A little pricy; Doesn't "push the envelope" tech-wise

Canon EOS 7D Mark II

The Canon EOS 7D Mark II is an update to a classic. The original EOS 7D was released five years ago, and has long been considered royalty among APS-C sensor DSLRs. A refresh was long due, though.

Good image quality; Decent burst performance; Fast; reliable AF

Lacks 4K video recording; No Wi-Fi

A mid-range camera that's primed for capturing fast action

Those of you who are into sports photography, action photography, and any other types of photography where a really fast camera is required, will do well to consider Canon's EOS 7D Mark II.

Fast shutter; Fast focus

Fixed screen position
