Bought as an upgrade to original 7D to boost for sports and music. Absolutely floored by the enormous step up in speed, shutter smoothness, body feel, cleaner processing, and most pleasant of all - the amazing quality produced in the ISO 8000-12800 range at shutter speeds around 1/2000th second.
Professional grade SLR camera. 20 mega pixel, 10 frames per second, HD video, environment sealed and alloy body. Good for sports and wildlife when combined with zoom lense. Good price from Jbhifi and canon cash back enabled me to get it at amazing price.
Great review! Thanks for sharing. Is it possible to "rack" the autofocus between to pre-determined points by pressing a button? Thanks! ~Adam I think that is a C100 feature. Thanks! I actually have a Sony RX10 II now and it's really an amazing camera.
NOTE: For connecting an interface cable to the USB 3.0 terminal, a cable protector is included with the EOS 7D Mark II, and must be used at all times to protect the camera's circuit board.
Have harvested 650D, 700D, 6D and now I run with the 7D Mark II. Love all the settings (particularly AF) and AF is amazing fast. Also loves construction quality and it feels sturdy as hell. Sometimes lack tiltable screen. Do not lack the touch-screen. Certainly lacks WiFi.
A huge step up from the original 7d. Flexible and sturdy. I can't believe how fast the lens is, ridiculous!!!
Almost all the people who invested in the 7D Mark II agree it's an absolute hit! Users stated the camera took incredibly clear images and were particularly impressed with the high ISO performance.
Excellent battery life; Provides fast; consistent focus; even in dim lighting; Fine-tuning controls and advanced ergonomics make it easy to use; Able to withstand up to 200,000 cycles; delivering a reliable; speedy performance; Wireless communication with tablets; computers; and smartphones enables...
Lack of 4K video; Screen does not support touch control; Expensive compared to other models
The EOS 7D Mark II has been a favorite amongst Canon sports fans. Its weatherproofing means that it can be used in harsh conditions, and its autofocus system gets moving subjects sharp quickly. The metering system delivers correctly exposed images in a wide range of conditions.
Weatherproof construction; 65 cross-type AF points; 10fps continuous shooting; GPS built in
Fixed rear screen; 1080p video only; Only 20.2MP resolution
The fixed LCD and lack of built-in wireless file transfer support may make some people cross it off their short list, but the Canon EOS 7D Mark II should please any Canon fan looking for speed.
Preserving its familiar and weather-sealed design; the 7D Mark II builds on the best of its predecessor: it's speedy with excellent photo and video quality; GPS; a flexible autofocus system and a big; bright viewfinder.
No tilting or articulated display makes shooting video without a rig annoying; and it lacks built-in Wi-Fi.
