The Canon 5DS R, the highest-resolution EOS body to date, is an all-around striking camera that captures some seriously impressive, incredibly detailed photographs. The higher resolution sensor does make shooting technique more crucial though, and the video features and ISO range are limited...

Ten years ago Canon launched its 12.8MP EOS 5D, a camera that opened the door for many enthusiasts to shoot with a full-frame sensor. Fast-forward a decade, and Canon has continued the 5D line with the launch of the S and S R models.

Announced by Canon on 6 February 2015, the EOS 5DS R is one of two DSLR cameras with 50-megapixel, 'full-frame' sensors that are targeted at professional photographers and serious enthusiasts.
