To be fair, I don't have a previous model to compare it with, I just know it's loud and it takes 3ish hours to bake a loaf. But the result is superb. And the fold down flap thingy means that half the loaf isn't munted from the dough hook. A huge plus. It waseasy to adjust the recipe to get the right size loaf to make kids lunches. I'd recommend this product
