Supplied fully charged, so used straight away on my ipad. It takes a bit longer to charge it than a wall socket, but if you're on the go and the ipad battery is failing it will help a lot to keep you going.

Plenty of charge

Holds a LOT of charge. Takes a good while to charge the pack but double USB charging ports means twice as many appliances fully changed up. Great unit.
