BenQ SW2700PT Review

While other monitors are content to offer features like one-millisecond response times and adaptive refresh technology, there are users out there with more specific needs for their displays.

Near-perfect panel and processing; No calibration needed; Decent price point; Sturdy; versatile stand

Not for gamers; Only one DisplayPort

BenQ SW2700PT 27-inch QHD Pro Monitor

When we first unpacked the SW2700PT we weren't surprised by its exceptional build quality or its large feature set. BenQ always puts maximum effort into its products and this new professional monitor is no exception. What did surprise us (only a little) was its phenomenal accuracy.

Reference-level accuracy; no calibration required; excellent light hood included; premium build quality; bright sharp AHVA panel; slick OSD controller; great value

Some gaps in Palette Master software but the monitor has no flaws worth reporting

BenQ SW2700PT Review

For professional photographers, color accuracy is a major factor when selecting a monitor for photo manipulation. Equally important is having a panel that will display a wide range of colors and the right mix of color controls necessary to calibrate the screen. With the BenQ SW2700PT ($649.99), you get all three, as well as some photo-centric features, including a shading hood, an SD card reader, and a fully adjustable stand, all at a price that won't break the bank. This 27-inch monitor uses Advanced Hyper-Viewing Angle (AHVA) panel technology to deliver very accurate colors, and displays 99 percent of the Adobe RGB color space. It also offers excellent viewing angles. It's our top pick for midrange, big-screen monitors. Design and Features The SW2700PT ($599.00 at Amazon) boasts a 27-inch WQHD (2,560-by-1,440-resolution) matte panel based on AHVA technology, which is similar to In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology in that it offers rich, accurate colors and wide viewing angles....

BenQ's SW2700PT is a reasonably priced 27-inch monitor designed for photographers. It's an excellent performer and is packed with photo-friendly features.

Accurate colors; Extensive image settings; Strong feature set; Wide color gamut

No HDMI 2.0; Lacks ECO mode

A grown up monitor

running from a low resolution lap top got it hoping it would work. Easy assembly and set up. Plugged it in it worked straight off. Easy to use, the switching between colour spaces is simple. great for soft proofing. Hopefully it will pay for itself in paper savings.

Durable; Great Features; Great Picture Quality; Simple Controls

Very impressive monitor.

Great monitor so far. Using the i display Pro I got a very good picture totally comparable to my much more expensive Eizo CG2730. No issues using the quadro P6000 10bit output on this " 10" bit monitor although it's actually 8bit + frac but so was my last Eizo CG monitor.

BenQ SW2700PT review: An excellent professional monitor

For a 2,560 x 1,440 display, the SW2700PT seems expensive, but you're paying for its colour accuracy and hardware calibration. For dedicated photo or video editors, these are features well worth paying for. And comparing the SW2700PT to the main competition, it's actually good value.

Flexible stand; Excellent viewing angles; SD card slot

No speakers
