Both my son and his best buddy got these as their main holiday gifts. Both sets developed the same wiring problem mentioned by another reviewer--they could only hear from one side--with only a few months of normal use. I feel like Apple took advantage of not just me, but of these boys.
The headphone jack on these snapped in my laptop after six weeks of use, and the customer service from Apple (who owns Beats, apparently) was nonexistent. They wouldnt do anything for me except tell me that they
Had the head phone for 2 months and pugged it into my mac book and the metal cord got stuck and broke off into the computer. Contacted Apple spoke with a rep and he stated this was common problem and they had me send back the head phones then emailed me back and said they was misused and would not...
These headphones are so good. Its the first time me buying Beats and that to at the price of £45 on black friday so the other reviews of breaking and etc didn't matter. I love bass and I saw on youtube someone doing reviews and it made me defo buy them.
I have always wanted Dr Dre headphones and these do not disappoint. They go back into their box, so I can protect the longevity of them. Bought in red and they really do stand out. Very happy with the huge discount during Black Friday. :)
The earphones sound amazing you can hear everything so cleanly and the bass is great. Onlyv gripe is controls are designed for Apple products and didn't respond correctly on my Samsung phone.
“Though they sound great, the Beats EP are limited by a wire and complete poorly at their price.”
Exceptional sound; Reasonable comfort; Good noise reduction
Durability questions; Wired connection only
As an act of full transparency, I’ve been struggling with how to write about the Beats EP headphones for some time. They are wired headphones and deserve to be treated as such. Yet at the same time, they come with a price tag that puts them closely alongside budget wireless headphones, most of which come with features and capabilities that just aren’t possible with the Beats EP. Perhaps that’s the best way to write about the $130 Beats EP. They’re not the audio juggernauts that higher-end wired options oftentimes are, and they’re not the features-first wireless cans that seemingly surround them. They’re somewhere in between, awkwardly in the middle of two distinct parts of the genre. Truthfully, I could wrap up this section of the review in two words: Not much. Other than the headphones themselves, the contents of the Beats packaging include a foldable carrying pouch, a quick start guide, and a warranty card. Objectively speaking, the minimalist style of the EP packaging isn’t a major ...

Beats is known for two things: bass-heavy sounds and lofty price tags, and while it might not always make the most well-rounded headphones, it certainly makes some of the most popular.
Affordable price tag; Solid sound for the price; Cool; comfortable design
Headphone arms don't fold down; No wireless option; Excessively long cable
