Balenciaga Paris is the latest fragrance from Balenciaga . It's the brand's first major launch since Cristobal in 1998, the first effort under new licensing arrangements with Coty , and the first under creative director Nicolas Ghesquière.

How do I describe such an exquisitely beautiful fragrance I love anything violet. Balenciaga Paris is a grown up violet.... like Yardley April Violets' grown up sister who does Opera and Rodeo Drive. The violet in this is not candy like...it is clear and sincere and you smell like a dream.

I didn't think I liked violets until I smelled Paris. Probably because, but for musk, this fragrance has the classic chypre accord, which I like a lot (citrus-labdanum-oakmoss-musk). The carnation/violet note is appealing and pronounced. Cedar and patchouli do the dank grounding.

My daughter got me a sample of this about 3 years ago and I've been hooked every since. Out of the 40 plus bottles of perfume I have this is my FAVORITE and it always makes my Christmas list every year.
It's a great scent that is not over bearing, very light.

I was quite disappointed with this perfume, I realise that it is an eau de parfum and not a concentrate but it is so feint even when first applied. Not a good buy when considering the price.

I wear this fragrance every working day and am constantly asked by people what I am wearing. It is subtle but on my skin a very powerful noticeable fragrance.
