Great speakers. Gotta try get them to understand!

Been eyeing these for a long time and honestly compared to a lot of the speakers on the market and price you can get one that is better. But like I said I've eyed these for a loooooong time. It's honestly the best I've used so far hands down. Yes, a little pricey but honestly worth the money.

Audioengine 2 review

If we sound critical, it's because the look – and the price – of these mini monitors so strongly recalls regular hi-fi speakers. They offer a neat physical presence, and some of the benefits of well-engineered hi-fi loudspeakers, although midband openness and stereo soundstaging didn't quite match...

Audioengine A2 Powered Minimonitor

I n July of 2006 my review of Audioengine's A5 powered monitors ($349 per pair) caused quite a stir, as many discussion board members - after reading my review - bought a set and came away impressed.

Audioengine A2 Desktop Speaker Review

Small dimensions, a pretty finish, power to spare, and two accommodating inputs, you can be sure Audioengine's Desktop A2 speaker system will augment your CD player, DVD player, computer, game console, portable music player, or any other product with a mini-jack or RCA output.

Beautiful appearance; Great frequency response; Strong bass output; Nice warranty and return policy; Portability

High treble; but not loud enough; Inconvenient volume knob placement; No speaker covers

Audioengine 2

Audioengine makes relatively affordable speakers for audiophiles, but the Audioengine 2 represents something of a break: $200 computer speakers for sound snobs. There's no fancy styling, no subwoofer, and no remote control-all you really get is stellar sound.

Accurate, pristine audio performance; Full-bodied but not overpowering bass; Handles high volumes well; Attractive design

Large footprint; Not for those who seek subwoofer rumble; No remote or extra features

Audioengine A2 Review

The audioengine A2 speakers are a powerful 2.0 audio option for casual, office and home theater use.

High quality finish; compact design; connects to multiple sources

Thick bass can overpower mids & highs unless EQ corrected; a bit pricey

Audioengine has recently released the "little brother" of its popular A5 speakers - the A2 Desktop Speakers - and we have today a pair of the Audioengine A2W (White) speakers. They are marketed as the "little brother" because they are smaller, less expensive and deliver less power.

Accurate and clear sound; high-quality construction and design; all needed accessories included

Relatively limited power; directional sound

Audioengine Audioengine 2

(1 items) I've made no secret of my love for Audioengine's Audioengine 5 powered speakers. That $349 system, although lacking an iPod dock and remote control, packs glorious sound quality (and volume) via two mid-sized, bookshelf speakers.

Audioengine A2

If the only prerequisite for desktop speakers were size, then the Audioengine A2s could confidently look forward to retaining their 2008 What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision Award as Best Budget Desktop Speakers. Measuring just 15 x 10 x 13cm, they're almost frivolously small.

Compact; nicely finished; fearsomely dynamic and attacking given their size

Some midrange coarseness; an expected lack of scale

Audioengine 2 review

Resembling regular two-way hi-fi speakers the compact Audioengine 2 speakers bear the proper build-quality hallmarks of serious audio components. Read our Audioengine 2 review to find out more - REVISED 10 APRIL 2013
