I bought these headphones for studio monitoring. When they arrived I immediately noticed the great sounds quality, crisp full spectrum sound (plus they come in red, which is dope). After a couple minutes of continuous wearing, my ears and the top of my head started to hurt.

For the price, these headphones are quite a deal. If you are looking at them I would strongly recommend buying them, but also look at some headphones like the Beyer Dynamic Custom One Pros or DT770's that are in the same price range.

Where do I start? -Build Quality is excellent; The headband is very flexible, all the pivot points and rotation points are very solid and work great; This is made mostly of plastic, but it does not feel like plastic; -Features are plentiful.

The one minor detail I would mention is the amount of padding on the headband is a little less then there could be; It can be uncomfortable for a month or so until you break them in and get use to wearing them.

It is as much of a shitter headphone now as it was 5 years ago. Still sounds like a turd with needles being force fed into your ear. Don't buy it.

for about 3 months I had a low-end Sony headphones (sound + as was ok for the price but the insulation 0)

At first you may not like them enough if you would have been using some other bass heavy headphones coz these are not bass heavy and have a more or less flat response with amazing quality of sound. But as you spend more and more hearing time, it will burn in and open up to a more vivid sound.

This is an excellent package. Audio-Technica have become one of my favorite audio companies. I have previously used Bose and a less expensive pair of Audio-Technica headphones for recording. With that being said, I am extremely happy with this purchase.

If you're looking for a pair of over-ear headphones to wear at home, but don't want to break the bank, and aren't interested in bass-boosted unnatural listening, then the Audio-Technica M50x are a definite contender.

Largely plastic construction; no controller on included cables; not ideal for on-the-go wear; ears get warm after extended use

I've only listened to this for a few hours. The headphones are not fully burned in. They sound wrong. The sound is synthetic and there's a lot of detail missing. This is compared to the Soundmagic E50 and HP151 as well as the Bose Soundlink 2 headphones.

This is the best .. The legendary ATH-M50 taken a great upgrade and here we have the ATH-M50X .. Could be a bit lighter but at this price range this is the best .. The absolute best .. There are other reviews which provide detail about the product so refer to that - I don't want to repeat it .. :)

My hubby LOVES these headphones! He got them as a birthday gift. Fantastic sound quality, sturdy construction, and he likes the "locking" cord, so it can be switched out or replaced. He uses them with his computer games and to listen to music.
