Good sound for the price
Don't spend more on recognized brands or consumerish stuff without first checking out the specs! These are awesome!
Pros:
- For the price I paid at a unfortunately non-newegg site I could not get anything better! These things produce great sound with a broad sound stage
Cons:
- I am not counting off on the headphones for this, but newegg had the incorrect pics listed for this item
- I emailed them about it and they quickly corrected this issue
- The other negative is that newegg was not the cheapest which hurts me as I love to support quality merchants

Only for classical music and gaming
First i am no audiofile just music listener and gamer . I use my fiio m3 dap and PC with onboard DAC with 320 kbps and flac files great headphone! With greater mids and smooth non sibling high with good detail , sadly lack the bass only for classical which includes 50 percent of Bollywood songs .

Listening to music they sound great so well worth the expense
Use these as gaming headphones with a modmic. These are such a vast improvement over my Logitech G930 which I was using previously. I can hear things I couldn't hear before in game! Listening to music they sound great so well worth the expense.

Great sound and comfort.
These phones are quite the best I've heard in the affordable category and can be worn for hours without discomfort.

Audio-Technica?ATH-AD500
I was looking for a pair for casual listening. (Since I have ADAM as my working monitor speaker and also Sennheiser HD280pro) But for the price I spent (about USD $100) I find this pair gives out a very natural sound comparing to my HD280.

Audio-Technica ATH AD500X
More than two years ago we received the ATH AD300 from Audio-Technica for review. Those headphones left an indelible mark with their open airy sound and unmatched comfort; and when we got our hands on the AD 500X recently, it was sweet nostalgia all over again.
Pros:
- Great reproduction of the higher end of the spectrum
- Open
- airy
- almost 'sparkly' sound
- Unmatched comfort
Cons:
- Flat response purists would've wished it to be more neutral
- Not very suitable for small heads

Audio Technica's ATH-AD500 feel very comfy and sound good, but not as good as the competition.

If you need competitive gaming headphones, these are a Fantastic option. If you need to enjoy your music more, these are a fantastic option. If your headphones are uncomfortable, these might be your solution. Give them a shot.
