As others have mentioned, Asus customer service is horrendous! I had this monitor for a year and the backlight failed. Since it was within warranty, I contacted Asus and they issued an RMA. I asked them to pay for return shipping and honor their Rapid Replacement cross-shipping guarantee.

As LED backlit panels become mainstream, prices for these displays drop drastically. Asus has now launched one of their entry-level LED-backlit displays for the masses. The VS247H is priced under the Rs.12,000 mark and offers all features you'd expect from displays, these days.

The monitor worked great for about 6 months and I had zero complaints. Now there is a dead pixel right in the middle of the screen. I can't stop staring at it. It makes using the monitor a frustrating experience.

Dead pixel within less than 6 months

Super cheap but decent 1080p 60hz display. The colours are really accurate and there are no dead pixels or anything. It has a VESA compatible mount on the back and a fairly basic stand. It turns on quickly and it's awesome.

This monitor has performed very well so far, with great colors and thin profile. Additionally, the material of the screen provides really good glare prevention, which adds to the quality of the image displayed.

Short cables

The appearance is pretty much as expected for TN panel, nothing exceptionally good or bad. The brightness falls off a bit toward the edges, and the limited viewing angle starts to give you a bit of colour shift off dead centre, but all pretty normal.

I use my monitor for general home/work usage as well as gaming. I have not had any problem, this is my second one of this model and I am very happy with it!

I bought this monitor to give my eyes a break when doing homework on my laptop. It hs a great quality picture. Not a strain on my eyes. Love it!
