Temp. Review: I didn't have the backlight bleed issue so many reported. There is slight glow in the corners (mostly on the top and bottom on the right side) but it's nothing bad or noticeable really, it looks like just how any ips monitor would look but to me it looks better than some.

dead pixel =(

if you dont need a new monitor asap i say wait for the next lineup of quantum dot/ va monitors with gsync. this one has been out over a year. Still, it is the best monitor in its class if you happen to want something big fast and now.

Minimal backlight bleed compared to others I've seen, Resolution is good; monitor size is great, 165hz works, g-sync is great, the stand is very stable, I can shake my whole desk and it doesn't wiggle a bit

1 dead pixel; but the pixel density is great enough that it's hardly noticeable; i'll have to get over my ocd as you need 4 dead pixels for a return, I do have a 1inch backlight spot in the top right corner; it's honestly only noticeable in pure black scenes

Abt staff provided much needed assistance!

Daniel helped out with our audio purchase for our daught at Christmas.... Michael and Andrew provided expert assistance in buying the gaming computer and monitor for our son. All have been great, including this fantastic monitor (son thinks we walk on water), but it was the staff that helped to make...

ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q 27" 2K IPS Gaming Monitor 165Hz DisplayPort+HDMI+USB3.0, Eyecare G-Sync SPK GamePlus Splendid TUV Certified

Absolute Beast of a monitor. I was a bit worried after reading reviews about screen issues; dead pixels and back light bleed, but I've had no issues at all. Pixel perfect. There is some backlight bleed, but you have to look pretty hard for it and during gameplay I don't notice it at all.

Buy it!

My rig - MSI gaming computer with Intel i7 -8700K CPU @ 3.70 GHz with a GTX overclocked 1070 graphic card. I've tried to keep up with computer technology since the first Commodore VIC-20 and the Tandy-1000 caught my eye.

The ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q G-Sync monitor is an amazing gaming monitor that elevates your gaming experience to the next level. No doubt it will be pricey no thanks to the G-Sync module built-in, but if you're looking to maximise your gaming experience, this is one monitor you can't go wrong with.

Gaming monitors have always been a hot topic, because what good is the latest high-end graphics card, if the display you're using can't take full advantage of what's on offer. While a few years ago gaming monitors found themselves separated exclusively by reaction time, the times have changed as...

Very good image quality; Very fluid display with 165 Hz; Bright; high contrast image; Chic and high-quality housing; Good ergonomics features

No brightness and presence sensor; No lateral USB port; Expensive

Thanks to the emergence of NVIDIA's G-SYNC, AMD's FreeSync, i.e Adaptive Sync, 4K resolutions and various other display technologies, we've had the pleasure of evaluating a recently. One of our favorites from this past year was the ASUS ROG SWIFT PG278Q.

ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q 165Hz G-SYNC Gaming Monitor

The ergonomics of the ROG Swift PG279Q like its adjustable height, tilt, swivel, and pivot are among the advantageous features for gamers which most mainstream monitors couldn't offer and it's really good to know that ASUS is actually paying attention to it.
