Asus PB287Q Review

Good features for price; Low input lag; 60Hz over DisplayPort; Good basic image quality;

Poor vertical viewing angles; Fussy OSD and controls; There are cheaper 4K monitors;

Being the proud owner of a 28-inch 4K monster should be reason enough for men to want to be you and women to want to be with you. But are all those extra pixels actually worth the massive financial investment required?

Asus PB287Q display review: Don't expect miracles from this inexpensive 4K display

If you absolutely need an Ultra HD display to view large images or to work on 4K video, the Asus PB287Q is an affordable, serviceable option. It works best with a DisplayPort 1.2, so make sure that your existing hardware is compatible. James is the director of Macworld Lab.

Inexpensive; Ultra-high resolution

Limited viewing angles; Muted colors

Asus PB287Q display review: Don't expect miracles from this inexpensive 4K display

Until recently, Sharp's $3500 PN-K321 was about as affordable as 4K desktop monitors got. But with the $649 PB287Q, Asus joins a handful of companies...

This is a great 4k monitor for the price and the quality is top notch. The only knocks against it is that it's a TN display and there is backlight bleeding For 60fps gaming though, it's great.

Fast refresh rate; 4k; Price; Adjustable angles/height

Not IPS; The menu buttons are positioned oddly in the back; would have preferred it in front

"Good Panel, Annoying menu and some odd quirks"

The Good: Excellent picture quality. The height and rotation adjustment on the stand is excellent. 60hz over display port 1.2. The Bad: Display port 1.2 isn't enabled by default so you have to figure out how to enable it before you can get 60hz at 4k. My monitor doesn't line up with the base.

Crisp asf

It's absolutely beautiful. I play very graphically demanding game with my computer. I have a MSI Seahawk 1070 GTX. Together I'm amazed at the crisp graphics that I get out of it. Highly recommend this Asus monitor. But, make sure your GPU supports 4k resolution before you buy it.

Day 2 I recontacted Asus and was told I need to RMA, no advanced RMA using a credit card hold to obtain new replacement first, gave info...

ASUS PB287Q 4K UHD 28-in Monitor Review

The growth and adoption of 4K resolution panels (most commonly 3840x2160) has really been the biggest story of the past year or so in the world of PC gaming. After a couple of TVs that ran at 3840x2160 over HDMI at 30 Hz found there way into our offices, the first real 60 Hz 4K monitor that I got...
